"I presumed a word meant one thing and it turns out it meant something..
Feel a proper idiot.. still i know for next time."
I've done that ..... years ago I thought 'twat' was a variant of twit and therefore used it with impunity until I was set straight. Also got completely hauled over the coals at school for using 'bugger' .....my dad always used to say'poor little buggers' e.g. about starving children, so as a kid I assumed it was an innocent expression of sympathy for someone and was baffled as to why the teacher seemed so offended.
What was *your* word ?

i thought it meant 'as normal' or 'take'

I thought it meant to leave something out or to exclude something.

Don't worry.. I though the words massive cock was slang for a big penis but all the women I message on here seem to refer to me as a massive cock
You see, its easy to misinterpret something... |

I used to use a phrase to describe a family we used to live near. Never used it in any other way just to describe them.
I thought it was a loving term of endearment to them. Until i learnt it was a derogratry racist term and i only found it out recently id been saying it since i was a kid |
