Trying new recipes - especially baking, reading, live music, visiting zoos (love apes), exploring London (there's always something new to do/look at/discover) .... nothing unusual or exciting really and never have enough time to do any of this anywhere near as much as I want to ...

"I really want to go skydiving, but have no one to go with "
you do not need a partner to learn AFF
there are many qualified instructors who will take a group of 4 across to Spain or USA and get you qualified to "A" license
usually costs around £1200 to get you up to "A" class license including rig hire, and you will also have made 3 new friends (the other 3 in your group) |

quite a bit of interest from fellow fabbers on here, look for your local club and request information, ask for a contact who does AFF instruction -abroad
make sure you make it known you want to learn in Spain or USA, the reason is very simple
You will be trained and passed out within a week fully qualified to jump on your own
If you train in the UK, it will be most weekends and you will find you sit on the drop zone week after week waiting for cloud base to clear and other weather issues.
The cost will rise if you fail any of the 8 stages
it is normally stage 6 which people fail, that is when you have to do an unstable exit, you jump out the plane uncontrolled and have to get yourself stable in the freefly position, many have to resit this jump.
once you have your license its time to purchase your rig and equipment, then the fun begins
this sport is very much like surfing - in that it will change your life forever
very addictive
should have started a new thread on this, apologies OP |

"Studying Tudor history, I'm a happy little geek. May treat myself to a trip to Hampton Court on Saturday as I'm down south. It's my happy place. "

Additional to the hobbies that I already take part in, I have a few more that I'd like to take on/start.
Playing the guitar - bought one recently but haven't started out yet.
Rubiks cube - would love to learn how to solve one.
Drawing - I used to draw before but haven't done so for so many years. Would like to get back into it.

A little while ago I became slightly obsessed by upcycled furniture on pinterest. There's some amazing stuff on there. |
