Of course there has to be an initial attraction but the most important thing for me is the ability to hold conversation and have a laugh

It might not be for you but most people don't want sex with people they don't find visually attractive.
A relationship is different but for sex, looks are a vital part for most people.
That's not shallow, it's merely the nature of sexual attraction. |

There are all sorts here. From the sublime to the ridiculous, weird and wonderful. Aren't we all shallow to some degree? So shallow is fine but fuck me deep I say.

Frankly "curvy" on fabswingers can mean anything from a curvy size 8 to a size 22! Thus it is reasonable for someone to ask for body pics on a profile that states "curvy" eh? |

For me on here it's all about the look, initially anyway. If I'm not attracted to the profile picture I click no further.
Your profile is your shop window, makes life a lot easier if your goods are on display & in date!

We ask for face pictures with messages and will delete if none are attached. So i guess we are shallow. We've had messages minus the pics from couples, who when you read their profile, expect face pics sent to them. Double standards |

Looks don't matter a huge amount to me but I still want to see who I'm talking to. I want to check that I will be attracted to them in conjunction with their personality. I certainly don't get annoyed by someone asking me, and I have a few stock photos that I hold back as private for those moments, which I hand out depending on the situation. It's not shallow, it's good sense! |

Isn't this as much about fantasy fulfilling as it is about sex in general?
If its shallow to want to sleep with people you like (physical or personality) then yes everybody is shallow and not just on fab.
Would you sleep with somebody missing all their teeth except 1 front lower 1? No thought not so then looking for people that match your specific desires isn't shallow its normal. |

I sometimes feel that people don't give each other a chance on here. People on here might not be the best looking on but might have amazing sex skills, it is a sex site after all but I also agree there must be a physical attraction. I don't believe that's shallow that's human nature. I think being shallow is when you think you better then anybody else. |

As people keep pointing out on many of these threads, yes, this is a sex (or swinger) site. But that does not mean we have to sleep with everyone who asks. Even if I found their personality a joy, I would still have to find them physically attractive. In the world outside this, I wouldn't sleep with someone I considered unattractive even if they had a nice personality, so why should I not bring those standards here? |

I never considered myself shallow just complicated...
But then we are all shallow to a degree, whether it is looks or personality that drives us the persue a person for that ultimate goal... A chat and a cuppa rosy.

Ultimately, that initial desire defines us all as shallow, just in varying degrees..
