I send one with any first messages I send so I don't think expecting the same from others is unreasonable, even though my profile doesn't demand it.
Less than half the first messages I get have a face pic attached though and far fewer than that are sent by someone who has read my profile. | |||

Absolutely, people without face pics shouldn't ask for them from others. However, as it's possible to have private pics, nobody can know whether someone does or does not have a face pic.
