The thread specified "when you are sad/fed up"...It could be that I'm rarely these things....
I'm usually more... "mildly pissed off" and I tend to listen to country/bluegrass then..... |

It totally depends on why I am pissed off/fed up and whether I want musical catharsis or a good wallow. So anything by Mogwai if I want gnarly loud guitars. Low, Lana Del Rey or Red House Painters if I want a wallow. PJ Harvey or Betty Harris if a guy specifically has pissed me off. Mutherfucker by Beck is a good one as well. |

Oh, cheer up tune too?
Well, that'd probably be a motown or Northern soul track like Frank Wilson, Do I Love You (Indeed I Do). After listening to enough of this kinda thang you can almost hear your soul singing along and grinning! |

No woman no cry Bob Marley, my grandad coffin was carried into the crematorium to this and when I need a good cry this has me wailing. I tend to have a proper cry about once a week, the type that leaves me exhausted. |

""Fire and Rain" reminds me of a friend (now deceased)
James Taylor? Good track and would remind you of those you've lost. "
Yes. It's more that the theme of the song is simlar to the life of my friend. |
