If you could take the rest of the decade off, getting paid your normal wage, would you?
(This has bugger all to do with benefits, so don't try and turn it benefit bashing topic.... It's too do with laziness ) |

Depends.. If I'm getting a 40hr week for the next 10 years without turning up then damn right, if I only get my minimum of 12hrs nah I'd rather go to work |

I quit my job and am enjoying doing fuck all. If someone wanted to keep paying me I wouldn't complain.
But in all seriousness, I'm going to spend the time working how I want to work. If I had to spend the next ten years not working at all then I'd rather be in a shit job, really. |

It would depend on the normal wage being enough to facilitate doing what you want when you want, I could easily scuba dive my way around the world for as long as it takes with the correct amount of financing... but if I had to sit at home everyday because I couldn't afford to do anything then like most people I'd be bored shitless fairly quickly... |

Its not as glamorous as you would think, I'm 5 years in, I do a minimal amount of work in a month, and I worked it out that with tax credits and the like, I'd be £15 a week better off if I had a job at minimum wage, but I get to be a full time dad, and I have no boss, but then again I sometimes miss the banter at work |

Something I miss tbh, work for myself on my own in my little workshop most days.
As someone else said you spend more by being at home.

Yes I'd do it
But id do other stuff instead as I like photography and id volunteer doing a similar job to what I do because the people I support don't get the luxury of having a day off is life as normal food then and they can't carry on without staff presence so... |

Yeah I would happily keep busy doing some voluntary work that my current job stops me doing.
You would find me in the Oxfam Book shop stacking shelves and drinking coffee.
I would also travel more.

I was faced with 3 months off and getting paid a very good wage. After a month I was climbing up the wall and ended up taking an agency job for somethings to do. There were a couple of other factors mind you, firstly everybody else was at work so I was at home on my own plus I knew at the end of the three months I would be unemployed so there was a bit of panic in what was going to happen |

No! I'm in the middle of having 6 weeks off and I'm bored and kind of like my daily routine. |
