I've had quite a few socials now where I've let the guy pick me up from my house and even had them come in for a cuppa tea. There's no one here and my mother is one of my bloody neighbours so I ask my meet to stay by the corner for a minute, I check that my mother isn't in the kitchen then signal him to keep close to the wall and make his way to my door. Doesn't stop my opposite neighbours from seeing different men popping in and out.
What do you think they are thinking? I've been here two years and only the last couple of months I've been meeting regular and having some come to my house so it's not a common thing.
I'm not dressed fancy just in my normal clothes and some of them will sit on my doorstep with me and have a fag like I do with my best (girl) friend so do you reckon they think I've just got guy mates coming round? |

I used to meet people fairly often and accommodated on a fair few occasions. I live in my dad's granny annex and he never said a word. I'm sure he must have heard different voices now and then but if he did he was very quiet about it all. |

"I wonder the same thing about my neighbours but then it's none of their business really "
I know but the woman opposite me was a year above me in school so I sort of know her and she knows people I know. I only live in a small village, my attached neighbour on my right knows when I'm shagging cos I can hear her shagging and our bedrooms are next to each other, she had a boyfriend though so feel a bit, I dunno, rude if she sees different guys coming here. It's just a bit embarrassing. Sooner I fill my position of permanent male I won't have to sneak people in, they look at me strange when I tell them to stay by the corner whilst I check my mother isn't in her kicthen then tell the guy to run to my door! |

"It wouldn't cross my mind to give a shit what my neighbours think of me. "
Yep.
And I don't really give two thoughts to my neighbours, either. I don't even know who lives next to me so I wouldn't know who should be going in and out. |

Yeah literally I have my mother next door on one side, 3 doors up my auntie and uncle, someone I was in school with directly opposite me Dai Milk diagonally opposite me.
Gonna have to go back to meeting people by KFC carpark. |

I dont really have much thought to what my neighbours think.. i prewarn my mum if ive got a "friend" coming round as she has a tendeny to pop round. I wouldnt kiss or act affectianate to them out in the street as that would be disrespectful to jay as they might think im cheating on him.
Other than that nothing |

Blokes hiding round the corner then scuttling to your door looks far more suspicious than a bloke walking up, knocking and you saying hi like he was a mate |

Just tell your future meets to carry a clip board like they are doing a survey, Selling double glazing windows etc,
For group meets they could be Jehovah's witnesses

It probably makes it worse if they are sneaking along the wall. You'll end up with one of them reported to the police as a possible burglar.
I don't meet at home as I have young relatives across the road and know all my neighbours. The adult neighbours know I meet people but now the neighbourhood children are teenagers I don't want them putting two and two together when they've known me all their lives as the generous but strict spinster of the street.

My neighbours are lovely and look out for me "
So are mine. I still wouldn't care what they thought about who was visiting me. |

Or wear a tool belt and you're having odd jobs done.

If our neighbours haven't worked it out then they are pretty unobservant.
We do not go out of our way to make noise, but nor do we hide it. And either of us is likely to hug a playmate outside as they leave. |

As others have said, the fact that they are trying to hide will make it look more dodgy than if they were just walking up normally. Perhaps they will think you are dating.
I'd meet them in KFC car park instead. |

How does that work for the hand potato test though?

Probably think you're earning a bit of pocket money
Or,they might not even notice,or think anything. I have a lot of men in and out of my house,my neighbours don't know who they are or why they are visiting.

I live in a small Cul de sac of 8 houses and am sleazy labelled the wild single mum, I meet at mine and they often see and hear my fb coming and going at all hours because of his shifts, fuck knows what they think when a couple arrive and I'm in a new build so paper thin walls, I can only imagine what they say about me.....but I don't care. I'm single and not breaking the law so fuck em! |

Yeah this is a new build as well and the walls are so thin! It's just nicer to have someone round for a cuppa tea cos I'm all relaxed in my natural habitat I can see them from all angles which is hard in a car cos my socials got to the stage where I was just chatting to them for 5 mins in the car and only seeing them from side profile and can't really see them tidy.

Thing is if i looked out the window and saw someone going in my neighbours i wouldnt give it a thought. If i looked out and saw someone making a dash for it whilst creeping along a wall id be out to see what was going off |

I once had a meet ask me to meet them in the lane at the back of their house, as owing to my curves he thought his neighbours would think I was a call girl. As it was dark, they wouldn't have clocked I was TG from their houses, so I was pretty chuffed with this |

I live in a shared house, 1 of my housemates is on Fab so I have no issues meeting singles, couples I have a little bit of hesitation on meeting at mine but if they don't mind the possibility of my housemates being home then neither do i |
