well ive got to share with you the best thing ive ever bought ....a shower head and hose, its got the biggest bore possible 10mm plus , the shower head has no restrictor valves in it and has 6 settings....oh my god , ive now got a power shower just by changing the hose and head , hose was 12 quid , head a tenner. so powerful now on the jet spray setting it actually stings ..
youve got to try it its amazing.
so many plumbers told me , cant really do much mate your in a low pressure area , cant fit a pump with a combi boiler mate , bla bla bla , i researched myself and now i have a really powerful shower.
theyve also designed an in line pump 80 quid but i dont need one ..
the way to test if you do , get a jug that holds a litre of water , use the timer on your phone , your shower should produce 7 litres of water per minute , if it dosent , het the hose, head and pump ..
trust me this hose and head has changed my life, i can literally shower in 5 minutes now instead of half an hour.
showerpowerbooster is the google and its the wright choice hose and head.
you wont regret it |

You're not affiliated to the company op?
I think what you're saying is that my electric shower is able to pump water faster but the flow is restricted by the shower head and pipe, coming off from the shower? |

well alan wright designed it...
its a 10 mm hose and the head has no restrictions
obviuosly changing a hose and head isnt going topump the water faster , but id suggest it will increase the flow by at least 50 percent
flow and pressure are totally different things
try the test , see if you get 7 litres per minute |

no commission , live no where near the place either
i was just sick of having a crappy shower and more sick of plumbers saying nothing can be done , you live in a low pressure area , or you have a combi boiler so i started researching it myself and stumbled across Alan Wright who designed this 10 mm hose , unrestricted shower head , basically it increases the flow not the pressure |

flow flex components ltd
google and click shower power
hose and head at the bottom of page
best get the longest hose and head in chrome so it matches
i placed order by e mail and over the phone with daniel
you dont need a plumber to fit it either , unscrew your old hose and screw your new one on by hand
i promise you wont regret this simple upgrade |

Excellent posting. I have a shower in Spain fed directly off a gas boiler. The shower cycles from hot to cold constantly apparently due to the pressure between the boiler and shower head being too high. I'm going to give one of these hoses a bash. I've been looking for a hose with a greater diameter for a while now. Many thanks. |

lol you cant get a wider pipe , read the website .
its a bigger bored hose , i.e letting a better flo of water thru.
the head hasnt got bigger holes , its what they call a non restriched shower head . once again allowing water flo.
try the test .turn your shower on and leave it on , set your phone timer to 1 minute....a shower with good flo/pressure will give 7 litres of water per minute..
first try the head and hose (which you can fix yourself in 5 minutes)....
trust me , it works

Are you sure you're not on commission?
You seem a little obsessed! |

I hadn't got a grasp on what this was but think I'm now more clued up.
It's a pipe with a bigger hole in the middle and a shower head that's not restricted.
It makes you wondering why they've not generally been selling pipes with a wider hole for years |

This was my thought.
I'm probably going to buy one anyway just to see. If it's crap I can always send it back. |

Some places restrict the water output volumes, so if anyone has that, check for valve restrictions. I'm not in the slightest bit diy or plumbing minded. With this I've tried to get my little head around what it was all about. I didn't grasp the site's info that well, hence hoping a plumber on here etc could explain it.
I think I get it - the silver outlet pipe from the shower to the head is wider bored, allowing more water through and the head is open, supporting the same less restricted flow. |

the main point here is i asked loads of plumbers about my useless shower that i virtually had to run around in the get wet..
there answers ranged from
1,you need a pump but combi boilers cant have pumps
2,your in a low pressure area,
3, you need a new shower.
after researching myself i fixed it myself , from crap to brilliant.
bigger bore hose and unrestricted shower head.......and if that hadnt of worked there is an in line pump for 85 quid compatible for electric showers , combi boiler showers , mixer tap showers etc etc ......
all i can say is .......it works brilliantly , even stings on the jet spray its so powerful now .
it was purely and simply restricted water flow....
please note , dont go to a store and just buy a new shower hose and headas it most likely a standard one so wont cure the problem |

It's knowing what bore pipe you're on and would need to buy. Plus the unrestricted shower head spec. Why are they selling restricted shower heads at all, if they make showers worse!
Here in the USA I understand that water restrictions do control the pipe specs etc and that valves are restrictive, thus worsening flow power in most products and what trades people can do and use.
Plastic pipe should be dirt cheap, so it shouldn't cost more than a couple of quid to upgrade. |
