Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound

The last time I did this was 30 years ago and I got my aunt to cook the meal and the date to collect a 'parcel' from here on his way to me. It was delicious.

Now, I think I would probably make:

Salmon ceviche (mango and chilli) with a wheaten bread

Crab and scallop linguine (all garlicky and buttery)

Passionfruit mousse.

Depends on what my date liked to be honest...

I could do:

Mussels in cider with crusty bread to start,

Baked seabass with fennel root and rosemary potatoes for main

Rasberry and blueberry pavlovas to finish.

Although this rather relies on her actually liking seafood.

Don't want anything too heavy because....afters. ...

You bring the booze, I'll do the cooking.

Although, it's been a while since I cooked anything that required any effort.

The little fish market down at Lymington is loveley. To be honest, I'd probably see what was fresh in down there and cook that.

I once manged to get some wild sewin from Swansea market when I lived that way, and they are lush! Was the only time I'd had either salmon or sea-trout that I hadn't caught myself...

Last one I did was Starter-chilli/ginger/garlic/coriander marinated seared scallops on roasted black pudding with pea shoots drizzled with a fig balsamic.

Main course- fillet steak also marinated in chilli/ginger/garlic with sweet potato fries and salad and balsamic coated cherry vine tomatoes.

Fresh strawberries and mango sorbet for desert

Okay I do actually cook.

I'd do a stuffed aubergine with button mushrooms, breadcrumbs, garlic, fresh coriander and feta.

Grill the topping.

It's delicious.

For a main I'd serve grilled Salmon with a roast red pepper and fresh basil sauce with a balsamic reduction swirled in.

Serve with mange tout and new potatoes.

For dessert I like to do a Pear tarte tatin with vanilla ice cream.

I'm nothing if not practical

Besides, put down plastic sheeting and there's much less washing up with the sternum route.

"chilli and garlic scallops and King prawns

Fillet steak with bearnise sauce with crushed baby potatoes, asparagus and mixed salad

Followed by homemade tiramisu

You know that way to a man's heart thing

Straight through the sternum, though going between ribs may be easier in some situations.

Pan fried salmon on vegetable rissoto, with broccoli or green beans

Some sort of warm peach compote with meringue and yogurt.

Then if she's really impressed, eggs Benedict for breakfast.

"Depends on what my date liked to be honest...

I could do:

Mussels in cider with crusty bread to start,

Baked seabass with fennel root and rosemary potatoes for main

Rasberry and blueberry pavlovas to finish.

Although this rather relies on her actually liking seafood.

Don't want anything too heavy because....afters. ..."

This one wins

Plus a handful of maple cookies yum

Hmm, Dinner menus on what is basically a meet for sex site no matter how much gloss you want to put on it.....So with that in mind..

Pass the lady the menus from the best takeaways of each type in the area, order up her choices & yours & in the next hour (not quick around here) get to know them a better.

After the food get to know them a lot better.

H will tell you that's a much safer option than trying my cooking
