"Urban Dictionary is your friend "

That tells us that it's "the ability and characteristic of having confidence in the enjoyment of nerdy things, yet while omitting an almost "cool" vibe from said confidence."

My life will never be the same...

Yes thank you, I know the difference.

Omitting in the description doesn't seem to make sense.

I would say its a range of 'toys' that are normally considered 'geeky'.

For example I have ferromagnetic fluid in the bottle and I like playing with it

Romford

God, that could never have been termed by a nerd. Nerds have a basic grasp of the language.

Nerd swag is stuff typically received for free at cons/expos or the like. Nerd swagger is confidence in themselves.

You sense wrong.

One has had a bottle of cold sauvignon blanc and is very chilled.

No tension here.

Uh, no, actually.

Swag as in swagger. The air of being confident being a nerd and, apparently, cool because of it. Or almost cool.

Also true. However swagger is sometimes shortened to swag and the context is needed to determine which is meant.

I see.

When I was a kid, being nerdy was being really interested in something, to the point of geekiness.

I was always really into wildlife/animals.... I have a shotgun and I'm hatching some eggs, does that count?
