Went out for a pub meal tonight, was £10.95 for a very thin peice of gammon, chips, egg, pineapple ring and few onion rings. I'd like to say it was good, but it was just okay.

Is it just me thinking that pub meals are getting more expensive, but the quality's not as good.

The pub we go to for lunch i usually have gammon, its bloody lovely and you get two large slices of fresh pineapple cut lengthways and grilled on top, i have salad instead of chips and its a lovely salad they do with it. Not sure how much it is but dont think its more than £10

lots of places do two for one deals on main meals .also a carvery near us under £4 weekday for a roast ...bloody lovely !!

any place you dont get a decent meal then id complain .never accept shoddy service or sub standerd food . x

nods in agreement with above.if you receive bad service, poor quality food, complain, complain complain.otherwise you are telling the pub,or wherever it is,thats its ok to serve crap, and they will continue to do so.its a buyers market, never forget that,we as consumers have the choice to go elsewhere and all businesses know that

Livingston

hotel next to me does lovely bar and restaurant meals at very reasonable prices and the standard of service is excellent.

And only a 3 minute stumble home...

yeah i agree and usually i do complain if it's rubbish food, but tonight I was with friends who all thought the food was fabulous. They've been to the pub loads of times before and say it's amazing.

One of them had corned beef hash....it looked like a trough of mud lol!!
