Everyone has got one. A hobby the don't really like to admit in public (we'll discount anythig sexual from this would be too obvious). What is everyone's guilty pleasure hobby? Mine is LARP, which is Dungeons & Dragons, but you actually dress up and do it with foam swords and stuff

I have a huge collection of old band and gig/tour badges, but not that guilty about it. Went to an exhibition about The Jam in Liverpool a week or 2 back and spent over an hour looking at the badges in the collection, just a touch obsessed about badges, the best memento of all!

Things like the coat yes, but for bunting an cushions patchwork and curtains etc the machine is far quicker. I've also made ethereal curtains for my 4 poster bed. That took some time!

I (Mrs) like origami, particularly mathematical origami (I once made models of all the platonic solids without the aid of glue, it was wonderful), puzzles (especially things like Sudoku and Hanjie) and cross stitch (though that makes me very sweary).

They add shading & texture. I have a white gel pen that's actually brilliantly useful.

Don't bother reading the cursed child.

Ok plot line, bit confusing at times. Some flash backs to the original books are completely wrong. Can't believe jk allowed it to be published with those basic and horrible mistakes in it.

Mine is collecting slot cars. Not secret but guilty as they are not cheap! I have a love of American Muscle cars - I don't care about the technical side of them like BHP etc etc but just love the look of them and they make up a significant proportion of my collection.

Also have a large collection of Pop! Vinyl bobble heads and Nerf Guns.

(L) Playing table top games sf&ste punk such as & building scale models. (T) Any thing small and furry.

When reading this it did occour that a nice ice breaker might be to meet up and play a board at a pub or swingers club then see where the night goes. Some thing like Cassassone or Escape From Atlantis or Pandemic or any simple co-operative game.

With a game it often easier to get chatting than just over a drink. Any other suggestions for a game?

I (mr) read a hell of a lot of sci - fi, obscure stuff most people haven't heard of. Not sure that counts. I use to collect key rings. Used to be into origami as a child, might try that again - a lot of posters have given me ideas of what hobbies to try, like birdwatching . My problem is I'm obsessed with a certain thing for a while then suddenly lose interest lol.

My wife used to collect paper weights. We've both just got into adult colouring.

"More recently keeping a journal of all my favourite quotes of my favourite authors.

I have one of those!

My current favourite quote is "sometimes I can feel my bones straining under the weight of all the lives I'm not living." Jonathan Safran Foer

Outside of the bikes (hardly a hobby tbh) it's astronomy, although with two young kids & a business to run free time to do it is minimal & as my scope is an all singing all dancing affair & weighs 200lb+ setting it up for just a few hours isn't practical either.

But I'm keeping it for when I can get the eldest interested in using it & I don't think it will be long.

I have lots of hobbies but I don't feel guilty about them...may be slightly embarrassed to confess I'm a Line Dancer!!

My other hobbies if you're interested:

I collect vinyl records, have thousands and a dedicated music room. All northern soul, tamla motwown, funk, deep funk and ska

I grow stuff....good chillies this year

I'm in a gardening club and a book club..always have a book on the go

I play table tennis in a small club

Crazy about cooking, have hundreds of books, particularly like making Indian Curry

Football mad, follow the Arsenal

But my favourite hobby and I guess it is my guilty pleasure is "Sex"....I practise it alot so it must me classed as a sort of hobby?

Bored Yet.....

P.S. Almost forgot....I still Play PacMan

"Trying to be a bit vague as it'd narrow me down for those who care to stalk, but a hobby of mine is leatherworking. Not in the sense of manufacturing kinky things, but things like diaries and equipment for another hobby involving bullseyes (bring on your best misinterpretation )

A quiver?

Yep

Oooo nice. I've made a quiver out of canvas before. Only just started to play around with Leather this year though. "

Are you a fellow archer, then?

As well as a penchant for Pratchett, I do have a lil bit of a comic book habit... but I can give it up any time I like!... Honest!!

Mine (M) is manga. I just love the whole lot. Got into it in 88 when my mates dad brought a copy of the magazine and a blag copy of the film back from Japan.
