I've had to hide my profile yet again, because some shoe horns recognised me!
I don't have any face photos on apart from friends and I'm very selective with them.
My bloody postman who I went to school with recognised me yesterday, well he's told this other lad I went to school with, and he's messaged me on Facebook.
Scared to death of it coming out in my town now  |

Tell the postman to mind his own business and youre a big girl now and do exactly as you please,if he knows youre on here then he's on here to,you dont have to answer to anyone just yourself,hate nosey busy bodies. |

I'd recognise you from your avatar if I knew you.
The fault lies firmly with the person who can't keep their mouth shut but you do still have a face picture on display even if your eyes are missing. |

No but you said he recognised you on fb from your tattoo...you've obviously changed avatar to something that would also be identifiable as you to anyone that knows you. Hence my comment. The guy is obviously in the wrong, but you aren't helping the situation. |

TBH what happens on fab should stay on fab IMO ...
As a postman this person should know all about discretion surely? If he says anything about telling anyone just remind him he is also on here... I doubt the Royal Mail would look kindly on that fact  |

I keep gettin messages saying we're you in such n such a place recently. Prob is tho I attually agrophobic so I don't go out very often. I must have a dopple ganger in rhyl poor girl will be gettin paranoid by now cos of these randoms staring at her. xxx |

To "Out" you he would also be "Outed" So ask if he's married on a relationship & whether they know he's on Fab?
We went the opposite way because of H's hair, stick your face pics up, no one one can "out" what's already "out" & common knowledge amongst friends & direct family..

If anyone doesn't want recognising in public, wanting to keep their naughty habit discrete then dont put face pics on the public galley. Sadly some people are on the site to suss out anyone local to them and once they have varied games & sketches can be played.
If you put full size hidden pics as that small square profile pic remember with a bit of magic they can be seen full size. |

I got reqognised for the first time this morning at work and it was fun, she works just about 20 metres from me, she came up to me and we was chatting about fab and the forum and we both have been here long time.
It makes you wonder how many more that we dont know yet who are on this site, that are really close  |

Im always getting recognised. some guy started chatting to me in tesco the other week. Not ad dodgey as it sounds as he has mesdaged me lots to say hes seen me around and id said it was ok for him to say hello the next time he saw me. If you have something recognizable on your profile you can hardly be surprised |

'Cause if that's the case then I don't see what the postman has done wrong surly the mutual friend is the one who has betrayed the confidence of both you and the postman ... My biggest annoyance is when someone has no public pictures on their profile and they message saying they know you and use your name but won't say who they are. Puts me off having face pictures public now. |

That's my annoyance. Recognise me, fair enough, but then finding me on FB and pestering me is pathetic
This guy thinks because I'm here, I'll shag him and he's got more chance of plaiting fog
I've had someone turn up at my house because they worked out where I live from my name and work
Fab should stay fab. That's why I don't except friend requests unless I know them |

A guy who invited me to spit-roast his mrs with him at my local club now attends my gym each morning.
We know that each other is who each other is, but just have the normal head tilt and nod greeting, same as anyone else, and nothing ever causes any issues, despite having shared a lady! |

I keep my private life just that.. I would expect those I meet and chat to to do the same , sadly those who wish to gossip will always gossip , I've no identifying tattoos or similar if yours are that unique I'd be obscuring them in your pictures... my face is on public for a bit normally it's in friends or private.
I keep faceache locked down as it's very very invasive .. |

We have had people chatting to us in Tesco before because they recognised us.
People in glass houses can't throw stones as they would only have spotted you on here if they are members of trawling thru looking for people themselves.

I never mentioned 'it'll never change'. The point was if people dont want recognising for whatever you want to call it (lets call it swinging ) then dont put your face pics up. Apply discretion it's as simple as.
Sadly as sex is involved it attracts some strange people & oddbods. People who will do one or more of the many strange things they sometimes do when sussing out who the local swingers are.
