If it were "just" a million: Sort the house out to exactly how we want it (been here 12 years and it's not changed a great deal in that time!!), buy Ms G the Evoque she covets, anything left over invest wisely and hopefully live comfortably for the rest of our lives.

Have an extension put on the house, have the house decorated, garden sorted, hot tub installed. Go on a family holiday, pay off credit card and mortgage and the rest into a savings account for our son |

place half of it in high yield government bonds in blocks of 10K each maturing over different lengths of time and live off the dividends re investing the same amount each time they mature the rest spend on housing fastcars fast women and family enjoy it for what it is |
