I sell a few bits on a large auction site.
Being made redundant soon and I'm thinking about investing some by sourcing direct from overseas.
Anyone else tried this ?
Any pitfalls tips ?

Fastech has a wholesale site and I know one place that buys Vape gear from there and sells it at a ridiculous mark-up but are still very popular. I wouldn't recommend starting doing the same with the imminent implementation of the TPD on the horizon though as you'll be limited to what you can sell.
It could definitely be worth an investment providing you find the right market and can get a quality product. |

Im in talks with a few chinese suppliers via alibaba.
I can find the right products its just the shipping price that knocks down any potential profit margin.
Think I may go for the silicone chastity cages as there nice and light |

You may have to consider importation tariffs. I have never bought anything with the intention of selling, just bought one or two things for personal use from outside the EU (holistic supplements). The importation tax stopped me from buying them eventually - it was £17.50 from memory. The items weighed no more 750g and cost no more than £60. Maybe negotiate hard on the price to factor this in. |

The supplier had already paid all UK retail import taxes. The packages would be opened by customs and the charge would be applied by either customs or royal mail or some other department. Trying to claim it back was just a can of worms. |
