What have you taken from Fab that you didn't expect?

Jump to: Newest in thread

For me, oddly it's the adult colouring craze!

Cute n Sassy started a thread about them almost a year ago, so I went out and got a cheap book and a set of felt tips... a year later I have 20 books and a grand collection of pens and pencils, but my anxiety is better and I've rediscovered my creativity - so thank you CnS for starting the thread in the first place

So what unexpected experiences have you taken from Fab, and who introduced you to them?

Ooooh! Try Faber-Castell markers - not the Pitt Pens but the regular ones

I got a pack of 20 for 6.99 (I think) from WHSmiths.

I think I might have seen that one on a colouring group on Facebook

I'm sat with Lost Ocean by Johanna Basford open in front of me.

I got introduced to Japanese cuisine and in return gave the gift of cheese in toast with a poached egg on top. Fair swap I thought.

Mille Marotta too.

Pencil wise I suggest whsmith as they do a 36 set of artist pencils for 6.99, really smooth quality.

Well I have been on here about 3 years total, I decided to come back after enjoying my Slightly frustrating time I was on here previously ( just getting used to the scene) but I can't say I have taken anything positive really.

Pretty much been that I have taken advice that this is probably not the site for me, I'm in a bit of a marmite mood on how things work here these days, might just be me

I've learned an awful lot of fairly revolting things - always in the forum of course.

Also learned a fair few other things and altered my opinions.

I've become tolerant of and active of using the block button - despite my initial reluctance.

How desperate for sex some people are.

I've gained the ability to admit to myself that liking sex is ok and nothing to be ashamed of.

I've also learned that wanting more than one man in my life is not weird.

I've got a best guy friend out of it, nearly 4 years we've been friends now.

And some other amazing friends too

I've met a really good friend to go to clubs with , shopping and girly nights out.

I've also learnt that I'm far to kind and let people take advantage. I give too many chances as I like to see the good in everyone but this always ends up in disappointment. I need to trust my gut instinct straight away and not hesitate to walk the other way
