Well, from the 1st of Sept you will need a tv licence to watch iPlayer.

I wonder how they are going to enforce this? I wonder if they will start getting ip addresses and pairing them up with physical addresses?

Didn't you always need one to watch their live-streaming stuff? Or are you talking about their pre-recorded shows?

IP addresses change. My guess is you will have to sign in using some code or information from your licence
