my natural hair colour is dark blonde/light mousy brown with natural blonde streaks in it.
really fed up with the colour and have bought a reddish dye, on the advice of OH that I would suit it (wash out within 24 shampoos).
so do I go for it and regret it or stay a mouse ??? |

sounds like a semi permanent one .
id go for it ...yes shock coming from the queen of hair dye lol !!!
if you dont like it then it will wash out or there are now hair dye strippers you can buy . one thing i wll say though is that reds do stain so maybe harder to get rid of . just remember though any big change in hair colour will take some getting use to so do worry if your not too sure right away x |

As its not permenant, GO FOR IT! if you dont like it, you just wash your hair a lot in the next week or 2 ..... good luck |

i have a tendency to dye my hair alot ..and i have to say red is the biggest pain ever..yes it washes out but that vibrant red washes out easily and u are left with a ginger colour even if it didnt start that way,

If you don't like it, red is the hardest colour to get out of your hair. Washing it 24 times over a short space of time won't do it as it releases the colour over time.
For a drastic change I'd recommend a professional to do it, or if money's a bit tight why not try the local college.
Good luck with it xx |

Leave it on for the minimum recommended time.
I went from blonde to red after my mum dies, knee jerk reaction. I loved it but, yes it does take and age to wash out, specially if your hair is very porous.
Pics please of the new errr dare we say improved |

Never use a semi-permanent red colouring…. they fade too quickly. This may seem a good thing, but it doesn’t always mean you’ll get your original colour back after 20 something washes. Red colourings have two different bases:
Orange base (yes even the red-reds)… you will be ginger before you know it and the last bit of orange will stain like a stubborn fucker.
Deep red base… unlikely in a semi-permanent as it dulls really quickly, but does bleach out much easier than the orange base. The reds with a true red base tend to be really deep plums and burgundy.

If you're gonna go drastic... go to a hairdresser! Then at least you have someone to blame when it goes wrong!
As has been said, red takes ages to get rid of... I have really dark hair with red highlights and I usually do them in the winter and they're still there the following winter! |
