Hard to answer without knowing what you're saying!
I used to send loads when I first joined and likewise it was very hit and miss. Now I send the rare message out to a 'new' person only every now and then and through it being targeted at them specifically (proving I've read the profile etc) it's very rare that don't get a response back. Some I'll end up meeting, others I won't.
So spending some time writing fewer, but better, messages worked for me anyway.

Do you send pictures with your messages? Purely because the traffic of messages that come through my box I wouldn't respond to ask someone for pictures, I'd just delete the message. If you send a nice message that shows that you've read the profile and if they give specifics of what they're looking for and you match that and send a message containing pictures you should get a response. |

totally agree. If people have made the effort to read my profile and refer to it in a message will always get a response. |

I never send unsolicited messages, I just can't stand the heart break of no reply, I feel like a failure it's horrible.
 If any women and/or couples would like to send a message out of pity that's fine though (attach pictures of your fajiner) thanks. |
