a stump borer I think?
Although not seen them for hire they could well be available..
mate of mine said to use copper nails or drill a 'cup' in the top and put diesel in that..

You can get stump grinders but I doubt they are available for hire to the public. Your best bet would to be look up local tree surgeons or landscape companies. If they don'the have one they will most likely be able to put you on to someone that does.
Alternativelynch there is a video on YouTube "how to get rid of a tree stumps the fun way" but it's a slow process & I didn't see much fun in it. Might not suit if you live in a urban area. |

Burn it out.
Drill some 1 inch holes as deep as you. can fill the holes with potassium nitrate then pour water in.
Once the potassium has dissolved. Fill with petrol and light with a long stick and stand well back.
It will burn at 2000 degrees. |

Or if you want cheap but takes a while, drill deep holes into it and fill with rock salt...cover the stump and wait for it to die.
Or just drill it, soak it in kerosene/disel etc and then let it burn. |
