Its my daughters wedding on Saturday so I looked at the runners to see if anything was suitable - has to be Northern Alliance! 50-1 at the moment worth a fiver each way I reckon. |

Real runners in this years National with possible 'swinging' connotations [in my warped mind at least];
Big Fella Thanks [a succesful meet]
Don't Push It [an unsuccessful friend request]
Midnight Chase [last minute meet on a Friday]
Frankie Figg [just sounds naughty]
Comply Or Die [the hazards of not reading a profile properly]
Character Building [your tenth knockback]
And finally
Bally Trim [hehehe - shaved balls. Geddit?]

Hmmmmm knowing my daughter perhaps Comply or Die might be a subliminal message to her very messy husband to be! Somebody will no doubt organise a sweep during the proceedings... its what tends to happen. I remember staying at my nanas in the summer holidays in 1966 and their neighbours daughter was married on world cup final day and they couldnt get the blokes away from the tv! |

Whooo its race day, still can't make up my mind what to back
Still I shall enjoy watching the race and my yearly flutter.
What a nice day for it, hope its not too warm for the horses. |

Hello Bud e.w.
The Tother One e.w.
Oscar Time
Another interesting one is Blue Sea Cracker which was bought by J.P. McManus only last week. Might be worth 50p e.w. |

Love the opening to the BBC's Grand National coverage. Shows the horses galloping past some of Liverpools iconic buildings in a moody black & white sequence.
For anyone who hasn't visited my fantastic city the buildings and backdrops featured are real. They are not super imposed. Looks great. |

I must say seeing those poor horses injured and the state of the winner being dehydrated made me wonder whether the race is too much for them.
I hate to see that sort of thing. |
