You beat me to much of what I was going to say with this bit. I absolutely understand the safety considerations of being a lone female and the potential danger of launching into a meet with someone you don't know and I can't blame you at all for taking that approach.
That said, too many posts on this thread seem to be implying that only men ever feel the desire for a same day hook-up. Somebody even suggested they'd never seen any women on here looking for that - well they must be on a different site to me then! I've lost track of the number of women who've put up statuses along the lines of "need sex today", then an hour or so later "meet sorted now - no more messages please". I'm not suggesting for a minute that all women should go down that route, we're all different and believe it or not as a guy I usually prefer a reasonable lead up to a meet, during which we can chat about what we like and raise the sexual tension. However, it was a bit unfair for the OP to be ridiculed (at least in part by fellow men saying what they think women want to hear) as "mistaking this site for Instashag", when it can be exactly that!
As always, the women rule the roost on Fab, if nothing else because of their relative numbers and while the simple choice is to either accept that and persevere, or leave, I think the OP can be forgiven his post asking about the difficulty some people find in "scratching an itch". |

You're right - there is a significant difference wanting to meet someone likeminded and your negatively positioned definition of those seeking 'instashag'. Whilst some men might indeed think like that (and I'm not disputing that some most certainly do), I genuinely believe your self-styled 'Sexybrain mindset' isn't a million miles removed from what a lot of men feel and are looking for - ultimately you're still bemoaning there isn't a readily available pool of likeminded people to link up with when the urge arises in you aren't you? Sex when YOU want it.
You don't have to want 'desperate' women to still bemoan you can't get laid when you want to.
It seems to me that you still DO want an 'instashag' but with a higher class of 'hot & funny' (as opposed to 'desperate') women don't you?
