"Have my last holiday abroad this year and next year im having a little dog.
A jack russell
A little mini one to and im gonna call it "sprout" "
You can take dogs on holiday these days so it doesn't have to be your last if you didn't want to leave it in a kennel. |

I thought about getting a JR after my dog has gone, then I read they are a breed that requires a lot of exercise and fun times in order to burn off their energy etc. and thought against it. |

next door have 2 JR's that they put out in the garden at 6am every morning. Vicious, Yappit little bstrd that they are.
Have told neighbours if they ever get over the fence and into my garden then I won't be responsible for what happens to them |

Our dog is shit scared of Jack Russell Terrorists.
He's not a small dog either, and other dogs don't bother him, but he don't like Jacks.
Next door used to have two of the little fookers and we think they must have threatened our Fred when he was a pup |

jack russells are great dog.
loyal and aggressive when need be.
my grandad had one many years ago and it lived outside in a kennel as its job was to protect the chickens.
not even cats dare walk on top of the fence.
yet it was a really friendly dog once you were accepted in the yard.
loved it. |

get a good one and he will look after you and be very loyal.
wont let you come to any harm.
but may stop the boyfriend getting cosy with you on the sofa by showing the gnashing of teeth |

IMHO, and that is based on research on information available on the web, one is advise to choose a dog breed that has the temperament and energy level to suit the owner's lifestyle.
For instance, it would be unwise for someone like me who do minimal exercise to choose a breed that is very energetic and demands lots of exercise and stimulation on a regular basis, such as a Border Collie and JRs.
Choose the breed wisely I'd for the dog's sake!

I have two dogs a bearded collied and a labradoodle.
I'm very lucky that neither have had to go into boarding kennels.
When I go away I either have someone house-sit and dog-sit or a very very lovely young lady I met through fab looks after them at her house for me.
She's an ex veterinary nurse and she really knows how to take care of my pets....plus she's pretty good at making my son sit and stay! xxxx |
