we had a lot of timewaster on here and we just get fed up with it we do support the site and we think it only right that time waster should get kick off this site for good and give the genuine couple a go cause all these timewaster mess up the couples and that couple is afraid of meet other couples |

having read the OP's profile, ALL IN CAPS we are surprised they get any messages at all, its not exactly welcoming, its like the written equivalent of an obstacle course . It's always horrible when you get let down but there is just no point complaining about it, its part of the work you have to go through to find the right people for you. well i arranged meet with the op and they never turned up so they are therefore a time waster themself .
is that true ... of course not !!! dont know op , never spoken to them and only saw profile today lol !! .
however shows how impractical and impossible it would be to try and impliment a ban on time wasters ! some folks would abuse it as they have simply been told no ! others may see no meet arranged after a week or so of talking here time wasting. or people who through no fault of there own having to reshedule a meet being branded time wasters .where would line be drawn !!! admin have set fasility to report people who dont turn up to meets or who have profile set to cpl when a single person ect . thats is enough i feel to deal with major issues .the rest we have to take some responsibilty ourself in how we choose and arrange meets . end of day though there are no garentees and you may still be let down . that happens in life not just here though . x |

The use of the word 'we' on the forums is always interesting. As in how do we get rid of timewasters. Im afraid as canny and camarardari-ish (I have to stop watching celebrity juice) these forums are, when it comes to interacting one on one you're in it alone. There is no we - royal or otherwise. If 'we' wanted to gang up and hound other members off a website based on the experience of others, then I wouldn't want to be part of such a cloying website.
If the day comes when I can't read the warning signs or get those gut feelings about people I exchange emails or phone calls etc with, then I need to up my game. I only have myself to blame for disappointing outcomes. The only thing anyone can do is move on when this happens. No internet liaisons come with a cast iron guarantee of satisfaction, in my experience.

You know ...it's possible to have sixteen or more verifications.
Eleven of those might be meet in person.
Eight or nine of those might be meeting for a laugh and a chat and some drinks.
One of those might be where someone had to shoot off unexpectedly.
And maybe two or three of those resulted in some kind of sex.
It's possible. I'm sure.

Its the words 'time wasting' that I find difficult to grasp. Putting time aside to sign onto an internet website is time you have to spare isn't it?
It's just another way to spend time on your chosen leisure pleasure to me. No different to any other hobby you expend time on.
So having devoted that time for online interaction is it only time well spent if it always results in a meet?
If you're not a wham bammer or an instant meet type after one email exchange, then you choose like minded people to 'get to know' through the email exchange process. You then have to spend that time together getting to know each other. I can't see any other way of achieving that.
If in the course of this time you decide its 'not for you' as can happen, I think it's a bit insulting to say that the person who was interesting enough to captivate your attention over a few emails or phone calls suddenly becomes 'a waste of time'.
If you don't have the time to spare (waste) to nurture an online friendship to an unknown conclusion from the outset, then you need to look at the bigger picture as to why you even bother signing on to what is a social networking site, if you are not going to be social towards everyone who takes time to contact you.
You are the master of your own time. If you let others suck the life out of yours, learn to recognise the signs and put it into the general order of how you want things to work for you online.
If you only want it to work out with a fuck at the end of it and cut out the social niceties and enjoyment email exchange can and does bring, why not join an escort agency instead? |

I can now look at a profile and say yes or no this profile is too good to be true and usually when that happens they are.

I usually find your (serious) posts make sense and have a strong element of common sense. However on this occasion I find your closing to be bollox.

The profile can be a wonderful tool. Its like when we talk about 'people watching' Yvonne and how through time get to know exactly how some are going to react to situations and learn their little habits and patterns. We really are wide open to scrutiny on open forum or chatrooms the same as putting up a telling profile so it really is down to ourselves to follow gut instinct as you so rightly say. I totally agree thats not for all and thats why I used the word if four times at the beginning of sentences to eliminate those seeking the thrills you describe. The best way to improve this site and get rid of the timewasters is to make everyone to be a paying member and no free memberships.
Real swingers who want to meet and play will be happy to pay for memberships as it's their hobby.
Timewasters wouldnt pay for memberships to mess around on this site, if they did then they are sad people who have no life sadly.
If the mods got rid the free memberships, this site will be better with real swingers, the timewasters will out the way.
I hope Fabswingers will do this and it will be a better website. |

I have never been much of a one for 'truth seeking' when participating on internet sites. You just don't know who you are receiving correspondence from for sure so have to accept there are fantasists out there and hopefully you have enough wits about you to spot them.
If someone comes and chats and tells me stuff about themselves I rarely think of it as spinning a line. I have no way of proving otherwise so just go with the flow.
If they wanted to whisk me off to their yacht in the Med and sip champagne all day.. I wouldnt think oh yeah like you have a yacht. I would think thats well out of my comfort zone for a meet. I wouldnt spend the time trying to see if they slip up and muddle their mainbrace with their splicer thingy (shows what I know about yachts) I'd probably just see it as a sign that its a person I have nothing in common with and enough to put me off a meet.
Those men I do chat to regularly - its about music and art and th elike - you don't need to have a perfect match to talk about that. If Im interested in the person it gets flirtier and heads towards a meet, but most of the time its just enjoyable online interaction and I don't need to question everything a person tells me - that would be offensive. I am not a natural sceptic but that doesnt mean Im a sponge either.
I am curious as to what makes those using the phrase time waster fall for lines though. Apart from the well documented 'they didnt turn up and failed to tell me why' anecdotes.
I have not come across anyone wasting my online time really, to be able to honestly know what goes on but there seems to be a whole sub culture of duped and dupees going on alongside the normal experiences on the site that its beginning to sound like a 'they' thing where nobody knows who they are to the extent its making us all jaded towards timewaster cries now. |

I think Fab's is the best site and am a paying member so no need to look elsewhere, secondly there is always room for improvement, I personally think it will reduce the number down of timewaster if free membership was removed.

I think Fab's is the best site and am a paying member so no need to look elsewhere, secondly there is always room for improvement, I personally think it will reduce the number down of timewaster if free membership was removed.

I've been on several sites over the years. Most men pay women are free and I've yet to encounter a timewaster.
Admittedly I've met some men that I wasted my time meeting, and a few that I couldn't wait to block once in front of the pc...but good, bad, ugly and indifferent they've all turned up! |

pointless complaining about time wasters as the admin seem to support them more than the genuine swingers....i coppied and pasted a rather nasty reply we had of a couple on this site, which i have seen done many times before in these forums only to have it removed by admin ,even though i mentioned no names and was banned from the forums for 2 days.............no wonder time wasters breed here |

the above answers the issue re posting private mails and bans being given out for breaking the rule... and admin are wrong.
as for the issue of timewasters, something that may be worth considering.. is when a little success happens to some, they start to believe their own hype.. and become increasingly indignant when someone dares says NO or fails to ask 'how high' when they are told to jump for meets.. and so accuse them of being a timewaster.

I usually know whether I would like to meet a person after exchanging a few PMs or a quick chat on MSN. If I am not interested in meeting him, I would let him know soon after I have made my decision. This way, I cannot be accused of stringing people along. |

I've tried to read it, but it doesn't make easy reading so I stopped after a couple of lines.
I'm unsure what you're implying by 'chuck and fuck'? If it's that I'm merely after a one-off, then you've assumed wrong.
I'm all for developing a friendship with the right individual(s), I just wouldn't spend 7 months of my life pursuing an initial meet. There are points in life when you need to cut your losses and move on. |
