What authors/books would you recommend? Personally I would say to anybody that hadn't read any Robert Rankin to check out his Brentford Trilogy. Over to you ladies and gentlemen

I think my favourite author is either Anne Tyler or Ursula Le Guin. Anything by either of them.

Love Robert Rankin. The Hollow Chocolate Bunnies of the Apocalypse is one of my favourite books.

Other than that, The Wheel of Time by Robert Jordan.

The Kingkiller Chronicles by Patrick Rothfuss.

Peter James books are the ones I will always read ahead of anything else, particularly his Roy Grace series of crime thrillers.
