Favourite 80s song

Jump to: Newest in thread

By (user no longer on site) OP     over a year ago

Just got my iTunes on random as I've been nominated for one of those 80s songs Facebook things. My question is pick one song from the 80's and why?

Too many to name a single favourite, the 80s was a golden age for music - sadly then leading onto the utter shit that was the mid 90s onwards.

"Tainted Love ... Soft Cell "

The 12" version.

It was so different yet so good. It felt almost bad admitting you liked it but then everyone else did too

I do also like the Marilyn Manson version very much. Which is odd because I'm not usually one for covers.

Simple minds- don't you (forget about me)

In fact, the soundtracks from any Bratpack film pretty much sums up the 80's for me..

But don't be so harsh on the 90's, it got rid of poncy makeup wearing emos who thought everything miserable was ironic... It bloody wasn't, it was just damned fecking miserable.

And at least the 90's didn't have Flock of seagulls!!
