Hi
I find quite a few people requesting bare back fun with complete strangers. Sounds bonkers and a silly health risk. Especially on fab. Anyone else feel the same |

It's not a risk if you have sex with people that don't have diseases. If you can talk about having sex and arranging to meet then I think you can also discuss how you want to be fucked and arrange for you both to have tests beforehand to make sure you're both ok to go ahead. |

Yeah it blew my mind, especially when then started messaging me! Not down for stuff like that. Very selfish thing to be doing, and ridiculously irresponsible. They were a 35-40yr old couple as well, not a pair of 18yr olds. Crazy |

I don't fuck random strangers. In 6 years on here I've had sex with 4 people. One of those I was in a relationship with for 16 months. I'd make sure I was fine before I shagged anyone and I'd be in contact with that person leading up to them having the test and results and then I'd proceed. I only want one guy to be exclusive with whilst we are shagging and so far I believe he is. If he wanted to shag anyone else then I feel he's brave enough to tell me and he would know the sun has set on our time of shagging. |

People can simple avoid that by having protected sex. It's not 100% but it's better than 0 |

It's an alternative protection that is seeing rates decrease, whilst condom use before had seen rates increasing.
Losing my friend and his partner is something that I'd love to never see again for anyone.
If people are exposed to risk there is also medication that can help after potential exposure. I think it's good for us all to be well informed about things as well as possible. |

I'm trying to muster up some righteous indignation about how other adults choose to conduct their sex lives.
Unfortunately, I've fallen off my moral high horse. Hmmm...I'm on a sex site, indulging in high risk activity, but because I use a condom that allows me to condemn those taking higher risk than me?!!
Alrighty then...I'm appalled at the shenanigans going on in here. May I recommend my website, hazmatwearforboudoir.com. |

And your test is only as good as the day it's done....doesit pick up dormant STIs? Some reveal themselves 3 to 6 weeks later. |

Sorry, no bareback here! Any test is only as good as the day it is done; 2 mins after test is done, could shag bare and catch whatever so, like anything, can only reduce risk slightly. Condoms are much better at reducing that risk and whether your balls are wet is irrelevant as it ain't crossing the mucosal barrier (unless there is a cut that allows entry to the body). Why take that risk? Their choice - won't be going near us though and that's our choice |

I'm guessing that they're very careful to not promote any guarantees with their condoms.
Condoms and other options, including medication as prophylaxis treatment, can make sex safer - based on large population studies. A single virgin could have sex one time and catch many different infections, whilst using protection - it's statistically very unlikely though.
Younger people are now receiving more prophylactic treatments, compared to us of other generations, where there remains a high prevalence of various infections that we've been exposed to.
STI clinics do not test for everything, so you will likely not know what has infected you with honesty.
Other countries are doing better than here, where greater steps are being taken to reduce new hiv infection rates - and they're successful.

When friends was at its peak, the vast majority of people had a choice of 4 channels so shows had huge viewer figures.
The curse of today's choice of 1,000's of channels is that you'll never get the same critical mass who share the same cultural references.
Game of Thrones is considered a smash hit today, but Friends had 3-4x more viewers. |

And wait for, is it three months? For the hiv test result? I doubt many would.
Use a condom, all the time, and don't suck or have penetrative sex until you know the person better and what his or her lifestyle choices entail. |

The evidence based proof starts with the forums where those who shave complain of in growing hair and abscesses after shaving, both examples of entry points for STIs.
There is also the article below
"As director of the health centre at Western University in Washington State, US, she has seen the consequences. 'Pubic hair removal naturally irritates and inflames the hair follicles, leaving microscopic open wounds. Frequent hair removal is necessary to stay smooth, causing regular irritation of the shaved or waxed area. When that is combined with the warm, moist environment of the genitals, it becomes a happy culture media for some of the nastiest bacterial pathogens.'...
In her practice it is not unusual to find patients with boils and abscesses on their genitals from shaving as well as cellulitis, an infection of the scrotum, labia or penis from shaving or from having sex with someone infected. Herpes is also an increased risk 'due to the microscopic wounds being exposed to virus carried by mouth or genitals.'
We then proceed through current surgical procedure where shaving as been stopped and the recent case study with regards to the STI molluscum contagiosum.
Other skin issues were also noted among the study participants, which may also have been related to the pubic hair removal. These included:
Warts (the researchers suggested shaving your pubic hair may also increase the risk of genital warts caused by the human papillomavirus (HPV))
Bacterial skin infections
Scars
Ingrown hairs
There is plenty online about shaving try googling

Fair play comment indeed!!! LOL!! just trying to play devils advocate and point out that if anyone is being purely holier than thou about bareback then people need to consider there are many other risks attached to this lifestyle and condom use in isolation will not solve them all!! |

I can't even bareback with my own husband of 12 years, as hormonal contraception does not suit me and I can't have a coil fitted at the moment. So it's condoms all the way, for both prevention of pregnancy and disease.
Bareback with a stranger is therefore, obviously, an absolute no.
And we both still get tested for STIs. It's just not worth the risk. |

I recall working with a man nearly 20 years ago who was in a trial for a male pill..........mmmmmmm where is it?
Sorry hormonal contraception doesnt suit you (me neither!) if at least it existed for men the man could use it in a relationship then not always down to the woman taking it. |

That was messy writing on my part. With my husband it is for prevention of pregnancy, with others it is prevention of pregnancy and disease.

"It's not a risk if you have sex with people that don't have diseases. If you can talk about having sex and arranging to meet then I think you can also discuss how you want to be fucked and arrange for you both to have tests beforehand to make sure you're both ok to go ahead. "
A test only means nothing was found at the test, some diseases don't show up immediately and the person may have gone straight from the clinic to a bareback gangbang.
It's always a risk, all you can do is decide what level of risk you are willing to accept. |

Re: HIV. The risk is from people who have HIV but crucially DO NOT KNOW they have it.
If you think you are at risk, get tested.
People with HIV and are on meds and have an undetectable viral load for 6 months can NOT pass the virus to anyone. Google PARTNER study.
Also, it is time to stop classifying people as clean/dirty. It is offensive and stigmatising. |

I think it's more that they don't care. If someone really cared about sexual health then they'd get tested, plain and simple. It doesn't cost anything and it's not hard. Some people are willfully ignorant... |

I think people are just scared too? It doesn't help when these threads invariably pop up as a lot of people are so vitriolic about it. I am well aware I bang on about it when they do, but I feel like someone needs to be the voice of reason! Boring as I am.
Maybe some people don't care, that is just terrifying, isn't it? IF they do have HIV they will regret not getting tested when they are about to die and could have prevented it. It's so stupid. Like you say, it's SO easy to get a test! Bonkers! |

I agree with what you said but their fear betrays the charade. If you were confident you didn't have anything then you wouldn't be afraid.
There's a documentary about some 40-ish year old, drug-injecting, Ukrainian prostitutes on Channel 4 who get tested for AIDs and you should see the mental hoops they try to jump through to justify not needing a test. The lady doth protest too much. |

..... some don't like the level you decide either and often have a go because it doesn't match theirs. If they don't like it it's their problem. |
