A polar bear can weigh anywhere from 450kg to 750kg, average is about 600kg.
So next time you're asked, there's your answer..

There's no one size fits all message...
You could write the best opening message ever and if they don't fancy you you're unlikely to get far..
Myself I try and be original and find something in their profile that I can reference.. face picture attached and wait.. |

To be honest your age will work against you, you are rather younger than the average on here. Obviously there's no quick fix for that, but give it some time and it will sort its self out.
You may be better off getting out to clubs and social events where you can demonstrate that you're more mature and worldly wise than you may appear.
