So I took my car to my mechanic for many years who had it for two weeks until he admitted he couldn't fix it.

I had to take it to vauxhall who regenerated the dpf and replaced the sensor. Over £400 that cost me. Now just got a bill from my first mechanic for regeneration of dpf over £200. Should I pay it??

It depends, did he do the regen, did he say it would fix the issue, did you agree for him to the job.

If the instruction was regenerate the dpf and he did it, yes you should pay. If the instruction was to fix the problem and he hasn't, then no.

The agreement was to fix the problem. He didn't so I was quite surprised to see the bill
