Bit of a random one as I can't sleep

Have any of you ever accomplished any sorts of dreams you had? Like getting a dream job or an ideal partner etc?

Yep. Always wanted to avoid life as a 9-5er and work as a performer. And that's exactly what I do (both onstage and in a one to one situation).

Still yet to reach my ultimate goal. Perform at the Eurovision Song Contest.

I shit you not.

Yeah, I achieved a few dreams and lost a few dreams. Some dreams changed, some evolved, some remained the same.

I still have a few for the future but I tend to focus on the means now more than the end. And I think I'm happier for it.

Guess I should add to this as I asked you lot only fair.

I've only achieved one of my goals so far, to get the job I currently have , everything else is still a work in progress.

No, I don't really dream. I leave dreams for those who are asleep in bed.

My life has been such a random affair (ie a mess) up until recent times that I've found it's been better not to focus too much on one fixed goal, because when you reach it I've found it can often be a bit of an anti-climax and bring disappointment. Now I try to focus more on the journey. The path is the goal. The result itself isn't always the be all and end all. Sometimes there may be no result. Sometimes the result will be unsatisfactory. I'm trying more and more to just enjoy the trip.

I'm on the cusp of becoming a barrister, so yeah, some dreams have been achieved. Others seem miles away. But in general, my dreams change and develop over the years.
