Since joining fab?

I know we should be liked for who we are, but on here, looks seems to come first and getting your personality across is difficult on interweb.

So guys are you happy with the way you are with a take you as you find me outlook, or are you constantly trying to improve on what you have, I am always trying to improve myself.

Yeah, I started going to the gym cos I see the top fabbed men and shags abs and I can't compete. That wasn't the real reason, of course. I'm on a long term fitness doodle-flop.

Upon joining Fab I enjoyed the compliments I got. It wasn't something I ever expected and it did give me more confidence in myself. That has held me in good stead and given me something to cling onto.

As time has gone on though and I've come to realise the kinds of bodies women really go for, what turns them on generally (obviously I know everyone likes different things), the more the confidence in my body has dropped. Quite dramatically in fact. It's the main reason I've not been around much lately and the number one reason why I've given up on the site for now. I've come to realise that I have to improve what I have. More for myself as much as anything. It's not even about Fab anymore. This sounds pretty pathetic but it has really made me feel unattractive. In my whole life I'd never felt that way, hence the reason why I had to get away.

I have become more body conscious with age not because of any 'fab effect'

Things have started giving up on me or going south which is never good.

That said, I'd never change to raise my profile on here, I make changes that benefit me health wise not to make me aesthetically pleasing to a group of strangers.

There's no need to be body conscious

Having been to several clubs and seen the range of body types that are "on display" there's nothing to be worried about.

Yes, I'd like to lose a couple of pounds, have a slightly firmer stomach or more toned biceps .... but where would that stop?

I'm not that narcissistic to always strive for something better.

I'm in damn good shape for someone of my years

Spot on, been on Fab 5 weeks but on a slow reduced food intake diet since January, not for fab but for me, 5'8" and 14st+ I didn't like, 5'8" and 13st is better now, but looking for 12st or less if I work at it, two small kids & a younger wife help a lot though

If I was in my 20s possibly. I've always been competitive.

Now? So long as I'm fit and healthy within myself I couldn't care less what people think of me.

As for personality. If someone's willing to get to know me then that comes through eventually.

Life's good on here. Ain't that bad even with all the skinny Minnies!!

Actually seeing all the scaffold requiring toolage on here has skewed my view of my own moderate ding dong which I previously thought of as average.

But I guess you could say that anyone with a decent schlong is bound to be proud enough to snap it and parade it.

Also the amount of large tooled dudes on here that seem to struggle to get to use it is comforting.

My stick of rock may not be spectacular but it gets chewed fairly often.

Never really cared how I looked, but now I hate it. Started going gym, started to enjoy the excercise and with it came a hatered of being fat!

So far I'm happily the same ish weight, but a lot more solid and actually now have a shape (not just dumpling). I'll stick to gym and keep working on weights, no interest in that odd gym bunny look, but a strongman build would be nice.

I was thinking about this. I think men now realise that if they want to have fun with another guy (and most seem to secretly want this from the messages I have received from "straight men I can't message as a single man" they need a athletic body. Most want MMF but it seems only with well built guys

I think there's a comparative pressure on men to have a "certain" body type, like there was on women years ago.

Whilst there's been a massive campaign...rightly so....to allow females to accept and be proud of their shape,it doesn't seem to be the same for men?

There's an awful lot of vain men these days as a result.

Got smashed off my push bike and then run over while lying on the ground over a year ago. I was super fit before the accident but after a year I am now back in the gym. I was not body conscious before but certainly am now- I am slowly removing the timber with 5 sessions a week in the gym once more. You could say I am dodging sofas and salad surfing (with the odd smash of G&T).

I certainly am, hence the 133 days weight loss thread I started. There are so easy very genetically gifted men on here who were born with the genetics for enormous cocks. Add that to working hard in the gym and it is a hard act to beat if the beholder is superficial.

I would hope to add so etching else to the game. Nobody says that swinging can only be played by giant cocker ado is like shag hard and rough types. Some women, maybe few want sensual sex from a more realistic man who is perhaps not judging any of her wobbly bits as he has a few of his own.

On the other hand I may be wrong

Hi 5.

I look after myself, but I'm not conscious because others have a different physique. I'm aware they have and I'd like, or I would like to be taller than I am. But we're different. It's the way it is.

The muscle diet that have worked for me is the anabolic diet, here it is, it is a 4 week cycle:

Week 1: Maintenance 3000kcal 250g carbs 200g protein

Week 2: Super low restricted calorie phase 1700kcal 150g carbs 230g protein

Week 3 and 4: This is where you will see changes, the bulking phase where you should eat as much as possible, aim for 5000kcal 700g carbs 290g protein

Then start over with week 1. Remember to take every 7th week a whole week of training, but keep the cardio up. Use myfitnesspal to track the daily macros on.

Point is most men who are body concious (assuming they are straight) are concerned about their appearence to women. And she was trying to allay those fears. So no need to argue with her!!

Point is most men who are body concious (assuming they are straight) are concerned about their appearence to women. And she was trying to allay those fears. So no need to argue with her!!"

We may not admit it but I think everyone has some kind of body image insecurity. Too tall, not tall enough, package size, too much hair, etc. Some things we change, some not.

At 46, I think I'm in pretty decent shape. I've been worse for sure. I'm not as well endowed as some would like, but that's not really something we can change.

Sssshhh they haven't noticed yet!

Just wanted to say that some of us women equally feel we have to compete with other women when perving at the hot pic's.... pert boobs, not a squidgy bit on show, annoying attractive (and that's just the transsexuals) Some are stunning!!

I think society as a whole is making us conscious of our body shape, nothing wrong with leading a healthy lifestyle and exercise does make you feel better, just don't become obsessed.

We just need to enjoy life x

"The muscle diet that have worked for me is the anabolic diet, here it is, it is a 4 week cycle:

Week 1: Maintenance 3000kcal 250g carbs 200g protein

Week 2: Super low restricted calorie phase 1700kcal 150g carbs 230g protein

Week 3 and 4: This is where you will see changes, the bulking phase where you should eat as much as possible, aim for 5000kcal 700g carbs 290g protein

"

230g protein on 1700Kcal? Do you own shares in a chicken farm or something?

I've never really tried cycling my diet. I do the old-school thing of bulking and cutting. I'm just coming to the end of a cut, I've cut right down this time because I want to bulk slowly for 6 months. I'll be doing PHUL as my programme.

That is good and I haven't heard of that program, yeah bulking that way is good too. in week 2 of the low restricted phase it is mind of matter to keep the calories low, but fun.

It's kind of a hybrid programme - stands for Power, Hypertrophy, Upper, Lower. So you'll do 4 workouts a week - 2 heavy, power based, 2 hypertrophy based for upper and lower body.
