I used to live in osnabruck, from 80 to 85, lovely place. I lived in Belm. I was only a nipper then mind. Is the Netabad still there, the swimming place with about 7 different pools.

These Pads wives boasting about their antics, do you have ANY idea what drama you cause?

I'm ex Army myself (only 2 years in RLC but was in Deepcut (and a witness) during the awful suicide dramas) and grew up an Army kid. Our last base was Hereford...

I watched teams of Pads bring guys home while their men were on exercise or otherwise. Only for said shag (military and civvies)to be beaten the crap out of. Because everyone knows everything.

They'd bully and abuse female squadies, saw us as competition. Vile creatures.

There are some decent ones but my opinion of Pads is very very low

We're all entitled to our own opinion of certain 'groups'/'minorities' and I'm sorry if my ("Pads") antic's offend you, you obviously have deep rooted issues and experiences that have affected you and I agree it could be a very harsh life for squaddies.. I worked as a civilian and lived as a wife in married quarters, so have seen a lot too!! However, I was always discreet with my occasional antics and have no secrets from my husband - never have!!! But, I can assure you, the life is equally as tough for the (often VERY young) wives living in such a environment; frequently removed thousands of miles from family and support networks and left alone for months and months sometimes in foreign countries!! Of course they found solice elsewhere, and frankly I can't see how it is any different from the married men/women on here who choose to live this lifestyle without their spouses knowledge?! Personally I try not to judge anyone... Everyone has a reason for what they do and sadly not always the maturity to understand the consequences of their possible actions at the time!

Destroy MORALE??? Sadly, it works both ways!! I remember, attending a wives group where I sat in dismay as I listened and heard that the majority of the women there were domestically abused, had been sexually assaulted, on anti-depressants and living in fear, the 'families office' response was always "you knew what you were marrying in too" !!!! These experiences are what led me to work in 'Women's Health' ...I do not condone cheating either, but I try to understand that everyone has their own 'personal' reasons for doing so - hence why I do not judge!!!

Personally, I am very fortunate, my husband and I have always been 'open' and 'honest' and have been happily married a very long time!!!

Wo there!! Since when did I bring domestic abuse into this?

Anyone who abuses another (without their consent) is the lowest of the low. Please don't insinuate otherwise.

I was referring to work. When a fucks b knowing they work with c and how it'll effect work morale, is malicious and dangerous.

I'm all for open, honest swinging. Actively endorse it.

Cheaters who maliciously fuck certain people, knowing it will destroy morale, I'll judge them all I like.

"

What you gave was from a 'squaddies' perspective, I was merely giving the opposing view from the 'wives' that you tarred as 'low' and 'malicious', they weren't all just out for a 'shag' some of those young girls were deeply traumatised, depressed, isolated and did what they did for escapism and solace, and I had a lot of friends who just wanted someone to be 'nice to them' so that's why they looked elsewhere!!! It was equally as hard if not more so for them..

You've done a marvelous job of twisting this dear.

I said I know how difficult a military life is on families. Painting them all as needy victims is incorrect. As is judging all as malicious trollopes. But many were, are.

Our experiences are clearly very different.

Hell yes! Jo's (aka the RN school of dancing) was usually the last port of call of what we called 'route alpha'. Sadly it's now a flat piece of land, but it will forever have legendary status in the fleet. The Duck was a top night too! Pompey has changed massively, with very few fleet pubs, except for three on 'The Hard', but the newer areas, such as Gunwharf are great in their own way. ??

The military recently did a questionnaire of potential scenarios.

Q; you find a scorpion in your tent, what do you do?

Answer from army; hit it with a shovel sling it outside.

Answer from marines; rip its sting off and eat it.

Answer from navy; hit it with a wrench, mop it out.

Answer from RAF; ring room service what the fuck is a tent doing in my room?

The navy only needs itself. As it has the fleet air arm, so no need for the RAF.

The navy doesn't need the army, as it has the royal marines.

Plus navy have the best pilots fact. Landing on all different types of places at any sutuation. When i was on tour the RAF wouldnt even come to collect our dead comrades due to being to scared of being RPG'd down in Sangin. So the Americans the legends, Were pissed and did it for us.plus the RAF are always 90 % late for any flight ive ever took!!

I've not slept with that many service personnel. Well that I knew were service personnel anyway, but by far the loveliest was a young lady from the QARANC. By far the funniest was a guy I pulled in a bar in London, went back to his hotel with him, he asked if I wanted to spend all weekend with him at his hotel, do some going out together etc. So I got my stuff from my room. All in my standard self buy 'OG' day sack really discreetly marked with my platoon, coy and regiment in black on yellow.

He went when he saw my bag.

He obviously hadn't realised what I was, but his neat green hold-all had a household flash on it.
