I know I perhaps don't have to say but take extra care with your pooches in this heat. I had to smash a car window and call the police this morning stupid moron left their dog in a boiling hot car I had asked passers-by how long the dog had been in the car. So plenty of cold water and walks when it is cooler. Just go out bare footed if its too hot for you it is too hot for your dog x

I tend to walk mine in the woods when it's hot, out of the direct sun.

We make ours with chicken stock for our pooch to make it extra tasty for her! Plus a damp towel we pat her down with when we take her for walks!

If you can't put the back of your hand on the pavement for 5 seconds it's too hot to walk a dog.

Guide dogs don't allow us to puppy walk when the temps above 30.

Saw a dog in a grey/silver jacket in the park yesterday. Apparently you pour water on to the absorbent back material and it keeps the dog cool. A doggy swamp cooler. Good for black dogs like mine.

I went to a car boot sale a few weeks back and a stall holder had a few bowls of water out with a sign saying free dog water. Top man had to buy something from him just for that.

Am not a pet-owner, but thank you for your reminder, op. Also a lot of similarities regarding babies in car-seats!
