Right this weather means shorts of which I have in abundance.

Nice just above the knee length ones.

However. I have a knackered ankle which means I have to wear boots to support the ankle or I will go over on it again (already had 3 ops on it)

What the hell can I wear on my feet with shorts without looking have utterly stupid

Working boots dms etc are fine with jeans but not shorts lol

I wear DMs with dresses for 3 seasons throughout the year. I don't see the difference between that and wearing them with shorts. I don't think I look utterly stupid so don't see why you would.

"I dont wear dresses sweety "

My point was they work as footwear with clothing that stops just above or around the knee as well as with longer clothing (jeans for you, maxidresses and skirts on occasion for me).

New rocks + 3/4 length shorts, is closest I get to wearing shorts. My legs glow a pale blue.

I've a similar issue with my right ankle - I tend to stick with a more trainer like walking boot - merrells at the mo and they do the trick.

Commiserations about the ankle

You got to be careful with it. I am tempted to suggest hill walking boots but I think you ought to try to get some advice from somebody who really knows what they talking about. Possibly physios at your hosp or sports injury clinic. Good luck.
