What puts you in the box and how do you get out of it?

I'm currently in a little funk and no amount of music is getting me out of it.

I've changed my position. Got up and walked around but I can't seem to shake it.....

What gets you out of a grump?

I get like that sometimes but I find thinking of the millions around the world who are less fortunate a reality check....not a very cheerful answer...sorry

Take it out on the treadmill or on the road.

A cuddle from my youngsters, although most of the time they're the reason I'm in a bloody grump! Or spending time with friends who make me laugh.

If it's hormone related grumpiness then nothing will shift it.

Hope you feel better soon

Thanks guys!

Think it's a combination of a gammy wrist, the heat and choosing the most ridiculous shoes for work.

All though the forum has made me laugh a lot! X

A bit of space and time helps, I just think over why I'm feeling like that and I usually work through it my head and then just put it to bed and move on. Failing that just look at your pics, they certainly cheer me up x

Money gets me out of a grump. When customers pay late, it makes me edgy. I know, it's rather pathetic and so easily overcome. But financial stress is a real burden when running a business.

Walking helps me wind away my troubles.

All I need to do is take the dog for a walk and see him play, soon realise there is only one person making me grumpy.

Another way of chearing myself up is posting on some of these threads. Sarcasm mostly. Indirectly it means I'm talking to my self, but you know, if it works.

Oh no, what happened to your wrist?

Loud music and a walk with the dogs helps me. Not much use if you're stuck in an office tho :/

Can you go out at lunch and treat yourself to a pair of flip flops? Fresh air plus retail therapy plus comfy feet might help? I always find a helping of Simons cat on you tube helps!!

Lots of good suggestions.

I particularly like the hazlenutt coffee and retail therapy!

I did back a gym bag but weights and spin aren't an option....I'll just eat cake indiscriminately and worry about the consequences next week.

Think to yourself is this something that is going to be annoying you tommorow or even a year from now, if not then dont worry about it, do the 2 fingers in your mind at it.

Make a list of the 5 best things in your life today....health, kids, fit as fook fuck buddy etc etc...and see the good things in life that you have.

Do list of 5 things you want to improve over X amount if time and work out how to do it one tiny step at a time....

I don't get grumpy often. It's usually only when I'm babysitting,in pain and they are being brats. That's not so much grumpiness but desperation.

If I were in a grumpy mood I wouldn't come on here and take it out on someone for their sexual preferences.

Salsa music + food would cheer me up too. That's why I like living where I do;a short train ride and I'm amongst al fresco winers and diners with sexy smells and happy music.
