Just finished it, in my opinion not much better on Netflix, brilliantly written directed and acted.

House of cards is probably the only show I've ever watched which is arguably better than breaking bad. I genuinely couldn't pick a favourite out of them. But certainly nothing else is close.

"Breaking Bad.. Couldn't get into The Wire"

I agree and am also enjoying the Netflix version of House of Cards more than I thought I would

It has left me open mouthed at times with its plot twists.

Started The Wire ages ago but then we forgot it and haven't started again, have Breaking Bad, The Sopranos, Mad Men and various other box sets all gathering dust on our shelves, will get round to watching them one day.

The Walking Dead was the one we really binged on - we spent most of the first part of last year spending every spare moment watching the first five series.

Only other binger, for me at least (as MsG had already watched all series as they aired), was Game Of Thrones which I watched series 1-5 in about two months at the start of this year.

Also check out the spinoff series Better Call Saul...storyline is not quite as good as BB but the same excellent production values are all there

I thought House of Cards was great. Ian Richardson was superb in it.

I've just watched the first 3 series of House of Cards and part of series 4. I enjoyed the first 2, but found 3 and the bit of 4 I watched dragged. Underwood just seemed to badly lose his touch in those and merely lurch from one catastrophe to the other. He developed a kind of reverse Midas touch, where everything he had any part of turned to shit. I've now given it up, because I like my Machiavellian politicians to be competent.

I watched all of Series 1 as someone had the box set and enjoyed it. I haven't seen the rest so I'll bow to your critique.
