It's a beautiful place and the people were lovely before they took up a bit of 'ethnic cleansing'.
Mind you I was there when it was part of Yugoslavia before they tore themselves apart which was a great shame. Flew into Pula and stayed in Porec on the Adriatic. Day trips to Italy & Austria [Lippizaner horses etc]. Fabulous countryside and scenery with a dramatic coastline. Loads of islands to daytrip around. Loads of history.
They loved the British and didn't like Germans [WW2 stuff]at the time. However, that may have changed depending on whether we bombed them in the 90's. It's still a beautiful place though. |

a really beautiful country with friendly people...was there last year...was looking for something abit different in europe...so looked at corsica,sardinia, croatia...
picked croatia on recommendation from a friend and can say well worth it....not that cheap, but an extremely memorable holiday...i'm sure you'll enjoy it diamond xxx |
