when you've kept your laptop in mint condition, for the entire 3 years of your extended warranty, then pretty much as soon as the warranty is up my left shift key decides to shuffle off the mortal coil and give up working...

That's why I tell everyone never buy a laptop unless you really need to carry it around.

How much did it cost? £1500 laptop over 3 years works out about £10 a week. That's not a bad innings. Buy another.
