It's the messages where they say "can I ask you a question" Just ask the fucking question mun! Feel obligated then to respond saying, what, what what!!!!!??? |

I had a 'can I ask you a question' message the other day. Now usually I ignore but this time I replied to ask away. His reply - love your boobs. FFS that's why I usually ignore!! Lesson learnt. |

Every few weeks For over a year the same guy sends the same message .... ...can i ask you a question ...... If we ask what he will say does your mrs do big we have replied with all sorts of sarcastic comments and off he goes For another few weeks or so am sure he creates an account just to send those 2 messages to us  I guess he doesn't do any harm bless him lol

I'm thoughts on the matter is that there is someone out there engaging in a little pop psychology, and roping a bunch of desperate single men into paying for a seminar called something like "how to seduce any women online with no effort."
After 25 mins of the presenter whipping them up into a frenzy, he says something like..."all you need to do is send them a message saying 'Can I ask you a question?' The female mind is such that they will be so intrigued by your mysteriousness they will immediately reply asking what, furiously masturbating at the keyboard awaiting your reply. It works even better if you have no profile pics or a short, no-substance profile to increase the aura of mystery surrounding you. That will be £500 quid, please".

Some guys struggle to approach women in real life or behind a computer screen I think we should cut some slack tbh and stop bitching, the only messages I get annoyed at are when men won't take no for an answer then I get annoyed, but anything other than that doesn't bother me after life's too short to worry about a message  |

Well, we will have to agree to disagree. Sometimes it might be simply an honest, straight person asking permission to ask you a personal or sexual question.
Even if it's a guy trying to inspire my curiosity in order to get a response I do not agree that is manipulation, it's simply a tactic in my book, and a fairly obvious one at that!! |

There really is no right approach.
All one can do is interact on a basic level.
Having a half decent profile with a few non explicit pics in public (and private pics in private) undoubtedly helps.
A polite message, to me, says something along the lines of 'Hi, this is me, this is what I look like, this is what I'm looking for and if either or is attracrive to you say Hi back and we'll see if we have any common ground'
The worst that can happen is that you get a 'no thanks', you get ignored or you get blocked.
OK the occasional idiot might be abusive but Fab has methods for dealing with that.
But that approach might bore the recipient to tears.
So what ? At least you haven't been rude, crude or offensive in sending it. |

It seems to me there's little thought or little imagination...
Given that the person has messaged I don't understand why the question couldn't be included in the message where they d be introducing themselves anyway.. likelihood is if the recipient doesn't find you attractive you're not going to get a response anyway.. Maybe I'm being too logical. |
