not far from iceland,,,,,, tescos is nearer though :-) (near leeds) |
It seems as though more police have been shot after being targeted this time in baton rouge where a black man had been shot by police a little while ago..
I'm too young to remember the unrest of the 60's.. I remember the riots and civil unrest of the 80's in America.. it seems to be heading that way |

I want to laugh, but I've laughed at Trump all the way to the republican nomination. A man is running for president who has endorsed torture and said that what Saddam Hussein did right was kill people without reading them their rights. And people cheered.
There seems to be a gang war going on between the police and the black community.
And we have a judiciary that can't operate because it is deadlocked and a congress that is next to useless.
I'm really sad for my country. And I'm a bit disapointed that I'm not there when it needs it's citizens to lead it in the right direction. I'm just sad. |

I get the impression he's the type to throw water on a flaming pan of oil and not to throw over a damp cloth thinking it's the best to do. |

I do worry for America
I can't share the link so here's The Daily Mash summing things up for us :
'' The next President of America will be either partially or completely insane, it has been confirmed.
Hillary Clinton has been confirmed as Democratic presidential nominee, running against Republican Donald Trump in the race to the Whitehouse, leaving the global population wondering exactly what form their demise will take.
Professor Henry Brubaker of the Institute for Studies said: “The sad fact of politics is that any person who desires to be in charge of a whole country is by definition an insane megalomaniac and therefore terrifyingly unsuitable.
“Whilst Trump is mad in an obvious ‘Let’s nuke Mexico’ kind of way, Clinton’s madness is of the more insidious ‘I just want power’ kind.
“Trump will end the world in an orgy of explosions and crazy rhetoric, but Clinton will kill you slowly by turning a blind eye to multinational corporations lacing the food chain with toxic chemicals.
“During the forthcoming Food Riots of 2020, Trump will yell at troops to kill all looters, while Clinton will instruct generals to ‘shoot if you must’ while a single tear rolls down her cheek.
“Imagine having to watch either Terminator 2 or a really miserable version of Erin Brokovitch for the rest of your life.”
So, yeah |

Maybe now that the victims of mass shootings are police officers, America might start to realise how stupid the right to bear arms actually is. I doubt it thought |

That is a big issue, but I think the issues that exist between police officers and everyday citizens are more at the forefront of American's minds at the moment. |
