For a car, no point, for a lorry, yes.
Personally I don't use one, just the Phillips Atlas and road signs.
There's an eBay one that's decent enough for about £35, depends how much you use it. |

Google maps on my phone does perfectly fine for me.
Last year myself and Frisky set off from Peterborough to home in separate cars.
She was using a Garmin and I was using my phone.
I beat her home in my considerably slower Land Rover...
Plus from what I have been told, the lorry satnavs are expensive as they have different licensing... |
