I have got an ordinary sat nav, are the lorry sat navs any good?

For a car, no point, for a lorry, yes.

Personally I don't use one, just the Phillips Atlas and road signs.

There's an eBay one that's decent enough for about £35, depends how much you use it.

Essex.

Google maps on my phone does perfectly fine for me.

Last year myself and Frisky set off from Peterborough to home in separate cars.

She was using a Garmin and I was using my phone.

I beat her home in my considerably slower Land Rover...

Plus from what I have been told, the lorry satnavs are expensive as they have different licensing...

Are you driving a truck or just a car?

If its just a car use Google Maps. If its a truck, look at Snoopers. Expensive, but worth it.

warrington

Snoopers are great but very expensive. Ideal for avoiding low bridges though

Save money by just reading road signs.

There is a Chinese version of snoopers that has not let me down yet and I have a 15.5 high trailer.
