The Hylton is nice south side of the Tyne Bridge or the Copthorne on the Quayside, most of the Bands that play the Arena stay there

Titz Towers, North Notts

The Manager's office at St James' Park. Just look out for Basil Ashley, the owner; he ensures no one ever stays too long.

here

There's a new Crowne Plaza - which is nice, new and modern and has an exclusive club lounge - and good club rooms/suites

Malmaison is not great!

Hilton - not bad, but not special.

Hotel Indigo - is great, lovely - make sure you get one of the executive rooms on the top floor with a balcony (and free mini bar)

To be fair if you want a real 4* + hotel you have to go outside city centre / Newcastle and look at the nearby area - Seaham Hall for example ...

hope this helps
