First day of the England v Pakistan test.
Not just a question for the cricket fans but for everyone.
Mohammed Amir is playing and was convicted of spot fixing (basically betting made on whether or not a no ball is bowled at a particular point. Amir as bowler was complicit in this). He was given a 5 year ban and sentenced to 6 months (I think) in jail.
Should he have received a life ban or should he be allowed to play again?
Personally I think the sentence was about right, as everyone needs to have the ability to redeem their errors. |
