22 press up challenge

Jump to: Newest in thread

Anyone else doing the 22 press up challenge?

You've to do 22 press ups per day for 22 days and post a video of it on Facebook.

Its all to raise awareness of PTSD and other mental health issues affecting veterans and current service personnel. It's quoted on average, 22 take their own lives per day

Please have a wee search on Facebook to show your support and get involved

I'm sure it's a very worthy and noble cause.

But when I hear the words 'Facebook' and 'challenge' especially when coupled with the phrase 'I nominate ..' I switch off.

Good luck to those doing it though, and especially good luck to the cause

Any awareness to PTSD is brilliant I suffer from it and the best saying I have ever heard that sums up what it does to you is not everyone who loses their life on a battlefield dies on it.

I lost my life in Afghanistan it has never and will never be the same. 22 press-up challenge for me starting tomorrow

I respect the cause but this

So sick of social media bollocks to 'raise awareness'; if you really care about something then fund raise and do something meaningful not some self-serving 'look at me' hashtag or status update

I am waiting on help, and have friends who have also served that are receiving help. A friend of mine ended up in the invictus choir.

22???

I don't reckon I could do 2 push ups.

Maybe I'd have worked up to 22 by the end of the time, but I doubt it!

I haven't been on Facebook ever since my girlfriend decided to split with me. Left me in pieces and I don't think I can switch FB back on to see what she's upto.

I'm up for doing 22 press ups, it's child's play for me but I can't share it

I did "fancy" ones, and varied them each day - although I didn't feel that the internet needed 22 videos of me doing pushups.

Started off with "star" pressups, then did super wide ones, then plyo ones with a clap etc etc

There's a green gym right outside my office but I can't reach the bars on half the equipment.

Ignore the bars! They are evil! They want to cause pain and not in a nice way!
