Have I just been very lucky in the people I chat with in the sense they are real?

I've looked at around 5 profiles today and they seem fake to me ie tattoos in early pics but not in later ones, listed as non smoker but has pictures with a cigarette. Even pictures that just don't look like the same person.

Are there really that many fake profiles on here?

They may not necessarily be fake, lots of people get tattoos later in life, or are just social smokers, etc
