"A hot curry ! "
nah, love a hot curry but need summit more beneficial (eg. when sarah gets it bad i'll make her a concoction consisting of some oranges and a lemon, squeeze em into a pint glass, add honey hot water and maybe a crushed paracetamol)..
for me a hot brandy & port has done tricks in the past

often do that anyway when cooking (cheeses sarah off big time) but even if no cold at the time it is good for the heart |

the good lands, the bad lands, the any where you may want me lands |
Was speaking with a lovely Italian lady on the train once, she recommended a whole raw onion, preferably an english onion; not any of your whoosy red ones, and a whole uncooked garlic clove. Should cure the cold, unfortunately you won't have breth fit for any meets for the next 6 months! x |

I watched a programme a few years ago where two people were deliberately infected with the cold virus and one was told to take paracetemol etc and the other was to take no medicines at all.
The results were remarkable. The one taking meds took a week to fight it off and the other fought it off natueally in four days. Not an exhaustive study by any means but from this experiment scientists theorised that the meds reduced the fever which in turn sent a signal to the brain to switch off the antibodies that naturally fight off infections/diseases.
It must have left a lasting impression on me as I never take anything for a cold and I seem to shrug it off after about 5 days. I rarely get them anyway these days, I guess I must have had most of the 122 different varieties of human cold there are and only have a few to go before I've got the complete set of anti-bods for them all. (although some say there are approx 30,000 different strains, in which case I've just been bloody lucky lol) |

Tequila is a well known cure all....dose needs to be approx one litre of tequila imbibed over the course of one hour....when you awaken from the alcohol induced coma three days later you will find the cold has gone.......
