When do you add people as friends and why?
Do you add anyone who asks? Only those you've met and liked? People you chat to a lot on here? How long does it take you to add them after you 'meet' them on here or meet them in person? |

Usually if we've met or have chatted on the forums etc. I know you ladies don't like to be bombarded with friend requests so *mostly* I don't do the asking (but will on the odd occasion) but will accept most requests unless I have no idea who they are |

The reasons vary!
Some are those we have met through organised socials and would like to play with.
Others are people who we have chatted with and are hoping to play with and we are planning to social with (we social first before play). Not all of those who we have socialled with have led to play yet.
Some we have met and played with already.
Finally some are fellow forumites who's humour or integrity I appreciate.
What goes without saying is that we don't add without chatting first, and we always ask if it's ok to add too. We aren't the sort to flounce and paddy if the answer is no.

So far it's been after a period of conversation where it's clear that i want to get to know someone more. I'm loathe to ask - not sure it makes much of a difference - but I think it works for me. |

My friends are people who I've met/still meet/keep in touch with to arrange to meet again, and a couple of people from the forums I talk to. To be on my friends list I have to want to talk to you. |

It's people I would like to meet. If I've met them then we would have chatted somewhere else first as I don't meet people who only message on here!
If it's a good meet and we get on then they stay on my friends list, if not then they get deleted. |

For fellas it has to be After we have chatted for a while.. I wont add people who just send requests. I hope I can judge well enough if we have a genuine fella. I normally ask a few questions before I decide! Couples and females if we have similar likes on profiles and have a good banter over messages then we will add. I always ask if they want a friend request first tho, as I find they do with us. X |

I've had a few on mine very keen to talk until they made it onto my friends list. Then they stayed friends but didn't message or reply to me again, until I deleted them.
It seems like a lot of effort to go to just to see my private photos. I don't even have any explicit private pics. Quite a few are just of my face.
A lot of people have public pics much better than my private ones.
I don't really understand why anyone would bother to pretend to want to be friends for that. |

We once had a very open policy on fab friends and our list was quite long. But these days are different . We are careful and our list is very much smaller. We don't accept random friend requests at all. |

I think the majority on my friends list are from the forum. So they're a mixture of people I've met, would like to meet or just get on with on here.
I don't look at friends requests so I'll tend to add someone if we've been messaging & get on, with a view to meeting at some point. |

If you fit my preferences...
You just gotta ask ...
There's nothing in my friends gallery other than my face picture, that's a big deterrent , tie that with my crap jokes for status updates it's a brave person who joins my friends lst |

I rarely look at my Friends List, though always check my Hotlist when entering the site, but have just realised my FL only has people I have met in person. Not necessarily had sex with, but seen the whites of their eyes. |

Your all on my friends list, until you annoy me. Then you go on my Hot list (secretly my hit list )
We'd have to chat/mail swap opinions on he forum and find something in common before a friend request was sent. |

Women I chat with a lot, those those that it's looking good that I'll meet because there is a connection there and those that I have met are on my friends list.
Oh, those with uber sexy black and white pics are also most welcome if all the above applies |

What is the purpose of friend request on fab? What benefits for they provide? Considering fab is private messaging, I don't see any benefits for sending / accepting friend requests. |

You see their updates and new photos on your updates feed.
You can see their friends only pictures and they can see yours.
You can use it as a filter in the chat rooms so only friends may send you pm. It stops you being bombarded with private message windows at busy times.
You can find them more easily to message and are less likely to lose track of them. |

Is that it? Lol. Thought there would be some special allowance or something lol. I always seem to receive random friend requests. No message just the request. Wasn't sure why so just ignore them. Thanks for letting me know! |

Last time i was on i used to send my face pic attached to messages of those I planned to meet. Now I kindly show my face pic via kik. After the whole Swingfield disaster, there's no way I'm logging my face pic on this sites system! Worried in case fab gets hacked! unlikely but possible. My career would be over if it did |

Oh I don't use the chat rooms. Not a paying member and I'm always using my phone for fab. Finding friends more easily and not losing track seems a great idea. I tend to swap my kik though to those I really want to keep in touch with. Thank you for your helpful advice |

"My friends only pics are face and fanny so only those I have met or would meet get accepted. Think I've got about 11 friends!"
I've got 20. Mostly people I've met at socials and get on with, that I've met for fun or plan to meet.
There are two or three who've not logged in for a while I haven't removed yet and one who's going in another few days if I don't hear from him. |

Just where I need to be. |
I have 14 in my friends list. A few are people that I chat to from when I joined.People I have met and will meet. A few that I just chat to, interesting people who I enjoy bantering with. I have no rude pics in my friends gallery. They are in private. I very rarely add anyone and never look in friends invites. |

"I only friend ppl I intend to meet or get on well with on here too many picture collectors which is why I don't accept random requests xx"
Oh is that why random guys send friend requests without even bothering to message and talk? Personally I consider it rude to send a friend request without even messaging to introduce yourself. That's just my opinion though |

You never told me there was a cooling off period!
I'm writing to the Ombudsman. The terms weren't made clear! |

the friends list is mostly people we have or would really like to play with - there are some we know its unlikely we will meet but we have great chats with (these are mostly my fault as they are forum buddies) - and even then we manage to meet up somehow one way or another - the hotlist however is a mishmash of good and bad |

To be on my friends list, we have to meet, then cut the palm of our hands with an 18th century dagger. We hold those hands and then drink the blood that has mixed. We then kiss as we get to tase each other's tongues.
That's the only way, I won't compromise. |

I dont have any solid criteria really..I dont get annoyed about being sent them randomly either, especially if they are from some fit and hot people.. |

those that get into my inbox..because if i clean out my inbox i dont want to lose touch with them..
a friend's request from someone ive just met as i have all my filters on helps me find them , verify and keep in touch.
getting into my inbox is harder than becoming my 'friend' on here x thats because once in the inbox, thers no way of exiting apart from a block..and i dont like the stress of blocking, hence my filters |

I have 13 on my list. Most are people I have met, but a few are people I have exchanged lots of messages with, whether we ever meet or not. People who have interesting conversation, intelligent conversation, a couple inhabit the forums and we share similar views and with the exception of one, they are all within an hours drive. |

More than a one line mail and a request.
It varies from person to person, but there has to be some connection even if it's only verbal. A good conversation, a chat up that put a smile on my face. All things are considered..... Not all pass the test x |

To get on my friend list we need to have met..or you be exceptional at keeping my attention.
To stay on my friend list I have to want to meet you again or you're the exceptional person who is still keeping my attention and I'd love to meet you but can't.
Friend list regularly culled. Some get moved to my hot list.
Yeah I know I'm harsh but I like my profile tidy.. |
