I'm originally from London and I'm a decent well respected guy.... may I add that a high percentage of Londoners have London born parents and family... in those families are female members and I'm not convinced this is the place to slag off any female from london especially people's mothers who are female

Maybe he means London female swingers but this post doesn't state that.. just any female from London is rude...

I wouldnt say all London women are, there are some amazingly friendly ladies around here but there are also some mean and nasty ones. As there are in all towns and cities around the world!

I think calling women animals is pretty horrid to be honest OP. I do appreciate that you've had a bad experience but no need to tar everyone with the same brush.

He put it badly but I think I know what he's talking about i.e. if it was a choice between hoping to meet women in a London pub or say a Manchester pub it would be Manchester...without hesitation!

I think your initial approach might need work

If you really find all the women you come across so awful it might be a _ood idea to change the places you're going maybe try smaller gatherings, local venues etc. Sometimes women behave in a certain way to prevent being treated a certain way.

I meet men over 40 in London & I know others do. Yes it maybe a bit harder but that's life, try other venues as well as pubs, join a site like Meet Up which organises social events.

I'm a londoner, born and bred...moved to Manchester 2 years ago. Hated the place...at first..l mean, what the fuck is all that smiles, sense of humour mancs seem to have..are ya all right everyone says..why the fuck should you care l thought..well 2 years later...l get it..understand it and l wouldn't swop it for any other place..ya see...northern people have a warmth about them, a humour born out of hardship and adversity. .l still don't get..gravy on chips, probably never will....as they will not understand jellied eels....but do you know what...it don't matter...l have learned to smile again, trust in human nature again...in london, you have to contend with 300 different languages, enclaves, segregation. .people not really connecting...unsmiling people on buses trains tube etc..you can keep it...stay there. .do not move northwards

I`m from Lancashire and the missus is from South London - we met about 5 years ago. When I first met her, I couldn't believe how much she swore ! (lol) - she's much better now but her family swear constantly - even in front of the kids - which I find horrible.

Generally speaking it's all front - it's a cockney thing (and I know not strictly cockney etc. etc.) - for some reason they just come across as pig ignorant people who don't give a jot for anyone else!

Actually they are alright when you get beneath the front - pretty much like everyone else. Anyway to finish off - the missus loves it up here - says people are so much friendlier, warmer and generally more genuine.

Not at all - but having followed football for a long time - you can learn a lot about a place by the attitude of their fans - there are some lovely ones (e.g. Fleetwood, Cheltenham, Scunthorpe) and there are some not so lovely ones - as fans are representative of the local populace there's got to be some science in it surely? (I know a nice Millwall fan by the way)

As a Northerner. I lived in London for 3 years. I found both women and men friendly. If you hit rush hour it all changes, but that is London life. I would refrain from a sweeping statement, as not everyone is the same.

1/ Don't talk to anyone on public transport.

2/ never stand on the left of an escalator..this is like the cardinal sin.

3/ never make conversation or eye contact when at a urinal.(I think this one may be universal)

4/All Londoners, and I mean All Londoners have someplace far more important to go than to stand and give you directions.. Even if they have nowhere really to go.

By all means, come to London, you will find it a really friendly place.
