Anyone else have problems with their neighbours.
I try to keep myself to myself but it's becoming harder and harder, this morning she was screaming and shouting and causing a fuss to wake everyone on the Culdi at 7am.
And when I went out just before I got screamed at down the Rd by her mother "thanks for nearly blocking her in"
How the hell do you nearly block someone in...the space her car had disappeared from could have got a bus into it well minibus at least!
Sorry having a rant I still can't understand how you nearly block someone in you either do or don't car gone so didn't.
Just wondering what's next with them and how long I can keep my cool |

yes - had to move house twice because of totally inconsiderate neighbours, their incessantly barking dogs and their vermin children. If you are a decent, quiet couple/family - it can make your life hell.

Everyone else gets on fine there are only 8 houses and each and every other house has had something with the one lot of neighbours.
If they were council tenants something would be done it drives me nuts.
From stupid banging whisky is being done obviously on purpose to screaming and shouting at eachother at all hours and the worse of it all fucking Celine dion on full blast |

Top floor apartment of a refurbished listed building so the walls do a great job of blocking out unwanted noise, and neighbours are all pretty respectful. Don't envy people having to put up with selfish, inconsiderate people. |

My old neighbour kept cockrels and hens in his front garden. The smell in Summer was awful and the fucking noise they made was not on, crowing from from 4:45am onwards sometimes. Was a residential area not rural.
I kept a video/sound diary and reported to the council and I also put a letter through his door. He eventually got rid of the cockrels and just kept the hens but by then I'd had enough cos everytime I saw him I just wanted to slap him for being an inconsiderate tossbag.
Keep a diary of any aggro if it's a regular thing OP. Make sure you put dates and times of any incidents. |

I am on my last nerve with my neighbour, I have 17 months before I can think about moving, every passing month gets more and more difficult. Its just the shouting (they are of Turkish ilk and don't know how to speak) and added another child to their brood who is now 18 months old and even more noisy. couple that off with their 3 teenage daughters..... Constant BBQ's with their friends (their garden is outside my kitchen window) I just want to scream then cry the roll up and la la la
Breakdown over and breeeeeeeeeath |

Where we live now is great everyone is friendly to a degree some more than others and apart from having to ask next doors dog to stop jumping up and barking at us over the fence it's all good. Our previous neighbour was a nightmare think alcoholic wife with husband who had a propensity for throwing dog poo in our garden and putting sharp objects under our tyres. |

I used to have a nightmare neighbour a few years ago. I lived on the first floor and they were on the ground floor of a converted house.
She was partying almost every night. Would start about midnight and go on until 5 am when they eventually crashed out.
After a while i discovered my floorboards were terribly loose and it became necessary to hammer them down almost daily at around 8 am
A couple of months later she moved out because she couldnt sleep and my diy ceased lol |

Yep I did. New (rough) ones moved in 5 doors away. The noise was awful during the early hours until I'd leave for work, which they don't have to do. And on top of this they dumped old furniture etc in the back. I filled a complaint form out to the council. One for the rubbish & one for the noise. Rubbish cleared that day & been pretty quiet since.
So may be worth doing this as it's completely discreet too so they won't know it's you. |

You can report anti-social behaviour to your local council. If they are actually being abusive, you can report it to the police as harassment.
If enough of you make formal complaints they should get the message.... Or a fine.

My sympathies. Have you got in touch with your local council about the noise, keep a diary of all the goings on and you Can get an enforcement order against them.
My neighbour has 4 yappy dogs that bark at anything and he's a lazy bastard when it comes to walking and cleaning up after they shit everywhere. The smell in the garden is appalling. |

Will confesss, I (he) had a bit of a meltdown last night, just as I'm off to bed at 12.15am the neighbour thinks it's great to blast her music to which I banged on the ceiling as shouted to turn that shit off!! She cleans to her music, puts the washing machine on as well as the diswasher then hoovers and this can go on till gone 4am. Don't think we'll be here for long which is a shame as we're not quite ready to move on yet. |

mine are shit. she is paranoid and he is a moron.
since i got some cheap cameras off ebay she has stopped causing damage to my garden and throwing rubbish in. she still slams her doors constantly, and unfortunately she is very severely mentally disordered and they both have leaning difficulties on top of that, and i have accepted she will never be right in the head so will have to put up with that. |

Mine are fine. But I am generally quite tolerant and don't get overly wound up by things that some seem to take exception too. Spoke to my last neighbours about how noisy their kids were and that solved it. Latest neighbour has spent months renovating his flat, didn't see a need to complain about the noise as it was unavoidable
Have lived in shared properties with some utter arseholes though |

Had problem neighbours, music so loud ornaments literally shaking from it. At 3, 4 in the morning.
Tried police, environmental health, council....no use at all. What solved it? Good old fashioned violence, works like magic. |

I had a nightmare neighbour who would abuse me verbally every time he would see me leave the house, he was always pissed and didn't like women, the problem lasted a year and one night he threw a hammer through my car window whilst I was in it!
I reported him to the police countless times and the local council and guess what? They did nothing!
He no longer is a nightmare neighbour though as he is living in a care home after my cousin broke both the bastards legs and knocked half his teeth out!!
Sometimes people get what they deserve! I have a peaceful life, the scumbag is no longer a menace and my cousin is a guest of HMP

". What solved it? Good old fashioned violence, works like magic.
Are you proud of that?"
Yes. These scum had made our lives a misery for two years. During that time they never worked a day. Being nice to them, asking politely.... nothing. Them waking our baby in the night from the sheer volume of their music. Me going to work absolutely shattered from no sleep. When I finally found what put an end to it I was very fucking proud indeed. So I do understand your implication that violence is nothing to be proud of and I agree with the sentiment and if you knew me you'd know I'm the absolute opposite of violent. Go through 2 years of that kind of hell and come back to me how you feel about it then. |

One of the other things my neighbour did was throw nappies out of the window into their back garden. Dogs and cats etc ripped them up, the stench was awful, not to mention bits of nappy flying around in the wind. The council didn't want to know at all. Nobody did. The only language people like that understand is violence. |

Since living in my house now for 11 yrs, 1 side was a little old lady who had very strong opinions about everything lol. She has since passed away and we have had 2 lots of shitty neighbours, drinking and drugs it even got to the point in the summer you couldn't open the windows because of the smell, and you felt very intimidated by 15/20 pissed up people inthe back garden. We now have fantastic neighbours who we laugh and joke with and our kids stop at each others houses.
On the other side at the beginning we had a lot of bother from the male as he liked to beat up female (even when she was expecting) so I used to call the police but after do many times of her not doing anything herself (the offer of help was there) I stopped. Even on 1 occasion he was stood at the other side of the street shouting abuse at me. So I place my 8 month old son in his play pen went outside shut the door and told this big clever bloke to come and try give me a beating like he did his partner, but he was too chicken to cross over.
As the yrs have gone on he has melode out and can be very pleasant he has also told me he knows he won win with me. And now we have drug dealers living a few doors away! Oh the joys I wish I could win the lottery x |

I don't blame you tbh. I'm very pacifist but one time i dreamt i slit my neighbours throat and it didn't even feel weird or scary to dream that, it actually felt good. They can push you and push you and think they have that right to ignore your boudaries. |

Oh, don't talk about neighbours. New neighbour been in less than a year, guts her secluded garden within weeks of moving in and then 3 months ago, takes down the ancient party hedge without a word to us. I goes out there to confront her twice, only to be told that she's not only to stop working in HER garden, says I'm jealous and heard that I'm a trouble maker. After several exchanges of recorded letters, she agrees to pay for a surveyor, who comes out, agrees with us where the border is, but because he's been away, she goes and marks the border with pegs and strings hersel - as if we came down in the last shower and not double check with the surveyor. Furthermore, the day after he came out, they hacked into the poor Liliac on the border, to hear from the surveyor that he told them it needed clearing for him to mark out the border! Grrrr. So after 3 months of stress, we now have to employ a solicitor! And this is from a lady in her 70s... |

House like that after 11.pm is illegal. Go.onto your council web pages, print it off and post in in her door. Keep a diary. Report it. House isn't allowed 11pm til 7am here, all councils gave their own times. |

i have had problems with neighbours in the past..
a very young couple with a baby. she was only 17 and really quiet and shy..her boyfriend was a total nightmare, used to invite all his mates around all hours of the day and night, fixing cars out the front and fitting those really noisy exhausts to cars, and they were very disrespectful...total nightmare, but they have moved on now and an old man lives there so peace and quiet, thank god!
