How many people have cancelled a meet because they had what they thought was a better offer and they get let down ? Or had a meet cancel them (this has happened to me) and then the other meet doesnt show? |

We've had people hedge their bets. Because we only meet socially first time some people will hang on to see if a play meet comes up before confirming, it's fair enough they owe us nothing and vice versa. |

It's like this about tonight. I really want to get shagged but what if I ask 5 people and they all want to meet, I'd have to cancel on 4 then which would make me feel shit. Or what if I only ask one person out of the 5 and then they don't show, then I've fucked it for myself by asking the wrong person. Oh what to do what to do, please someone tell me what to do! |

I've had it done to me, especially when I've made it clear that the first meet is just to decide if we definitely both want to play.
The irony being that if I say I'll meet for coffee I'm there. I've had guys message me apologising profusely after their sure thing meet let them down or didn't match the pictures.
The other irony is that if we're just meeting for coffee we can meet for twenty minutes, decide if we want to make plans and then they can trot off to their sure thing and I won't be offended! Oddly they never seem to work that one out  |

Goodness yes, had it done to me on more than one occasion. It sucks as my time is very limited so when I meet I need guaranteed show ups. Thankfully the men I do meet haven't let me down yet! |

Stagger the times of the meets. So if you get let down you have options then if you don't you can send messages apologising and offering a raincheck. This only works if noone is travelling too far and if you've given them maybe an hours notice. |

Provided a meet cancels early enough don't care why. Never had a meet not show up and we would never dream of cancelling on the off chance that another meet would be better. We have in the past turned down offers as we were already meeting then afterwards slightly regretted it but that is for a different thread |

I've had that happen with a regular partner. It happens. I've had to choose between a few men on more than one occasion. For me the choice is not who is more attractive but who will give me what I want at that particular time,or how convenient they are if I don't have much travelling time. |

I wouldn't cancel on someone because a better offer was on the table. For me the person I'm arranging to meet is the best offer.
I'd be well pissed off if someone cancelled on me for that reason, they wouldn't get another chance. |

Yeah, we've been cancelled on because the dude's grandfather was in the hospital...only to see a verification from a hot single woman the next day. Maybe was better at comforting him than we would have been
It used to bother me. But now I realize that fab is shitty like that on occasion. People are shitty on occasion. We just always have a Plan B now.

I've had one arranged to meet me then found out the day before he'd arranged to meet my friend at the same time. None too bright cos he got to meet neither, but he sure as hell saw what he was missing out on. |

I'm not sure I could handle the excitement of arranging multiple meets.
Plus, having 5 conversations at once would be far too confusing. Prefer to focus my attention in one place, and, if it didn't come off then, there's always hand cream and a tissue |

I had a guy i had met lots text me to cancel our weekend as i was driving the 70 miles to his house.
He actually told me it was because another fem had asked him to go to a party with her.
It wasn't a nice feeling
He them had the cheek a few weeks later to ask me to meet him again ... i said no obviously lol. In fact he still asks me to meet him !!!
He complains that he doesn't get many meets ... not suprising if he treats them the same as he treated me ! |

Very true.
I wouldn't even be that miffed if they gave me plenty of notice and asked to reschedule, but they either disappear or no show then come whining back after they've been let down by their sure thing (21 yr old with model like pics who wanted full description of what was going to happen and wanted them to come round right now... ) and then get stroppy when I'm not prepared to give them a second chance.
I can generally spot them though, they often 'just ask' me whether there will be sex straight away, "so might we go to a hotel or to yours after?" which they will ask a few times. Ask once and they're just asking, ask repeatedly and they're trying to decide whether to meet established profile with multiple veris for coffee and hopefully a promise or to meet new hot too good to be true unverified profile.

I wouldnt even consider do this.
I had a meet/social last saturday. The Friday night before i was asked over by a couple that I've met before but i turned them as i didnt think it would be right for my meet the following day to turn up all tired and the fact was i was excited and looking foward to Saturday i didnt want anything to change that |

I wouldn't treat anyone so shabbily but its happened to me. I've had an excuse offered then up pops a new veri. Clearly not the reason given then ! How rude.
I'm always honest and tell doneone where they're at with me. If I get a cancellation in good time, I have a couple of people happy to be on stand-by What grinds my tears are no-shows or last minute drop outs.
We need to get the message out there.. a social can be a quick cuppa en route to a play meet elsewhere! Guys you can do BOTH !

It has happened to me though. Makes you laugh when guys moan about not being able to get meets then behave badly like this.
Worse though is being left high and dry as I was earlier this week. No message to cancel, no apology, just blocked! How rude some people can be. |

I was supposed to have a single male meet last night. I had cancelled two potential nights out with my best girlfriends. The meet cancelled with notice. It's not the first time and I don't expect it to be the last. Sadly it has made the Mr, reconsider hotwifing.. he has put more filters on messages. Now we are club meets only. This swinging is supposed to be about fun! We as a couple are letting other men share the Mr's wife and they let us down, Their loss I say.. on to the next...  xx |

It's happened to me. Had been seeing this guy for a while and made an arrangement for him to come round to mine.He messaged me to say this woman he'd been chatting with had also asked him round and he hoped I wouldn't mind, but he was off to meet her! Actually, I DID mind and never met him again. But he got his comeuppance, she never put out and he had a very long drive for nothing.
I know how it made me feel, so would never do it to anyone else. I have had a morning meet and then an afternoon meet on the same day though, but I don't think that counts! |

yeah happened to me meant to be my first meet agreed to meet the day came and gone tried contacting her and nothing next day shes online and turns out she ditched me for a quick meet instead of a very long and dirty night that was planned still though it was her loss lol |

I'd say that I can't believe it but sadly I can. Earlier this year I had a terrible record with cancelled meets, if I have an arranged meet them that's that, I don't hedge my bets nor line up alternates. I'd rather sit home alone and treat people fairly than use people for my own sexual gratification |

Had people cancel saying they unwell and they then show a veri from someone else guess we were on the standby list .
Had the last laugh bumped into them at a club when they saw the Mrs was even better in the flesh tried to put it right

It would be an instant way to filter out people that you'd never consider meeting again. The forum has had a fair few posts where someone received a cancellation, their meets who had been at death's door etc, only to see them get a verification from someone, for the same day.
I respect other people and expect the same in return. If we've gone out of our way to make arrangements to meet, which may include child care cover, booking a room or travel tickets, then it's not respectful to cancel, just because someone else caught your fancy.
If you have several people who may meet you, then staggered socials is fairly easy to achieve. Staggered shags is too, if you'd like this. Otherwise, it's simple to not string people along by doing preliminary vetting of future potential meets and arranging other dates/times. |

Personally I would never cancel a meet for another meet, if I didn't care about meeting somebody that much I'd cancel on them I wouldn't arrange to meet in the first place
I think it's just people keeping their options open by arranging meets with people they aren't that bothered about but if a better offer comes along they will dump them, and if a better offer does not come along, well second choice is better than a wank

"How many people have cancelled a meet because they had what they thought was a better offer and they get let down ? Or had a meet cancel them (this has happened to me) and then the other meet doesnt show?
I had a guy cancel on me for another meet
Give him his dues though he was honest and told me
He text to say he was meeting somebody else now but would still like to meet me so could we rearrange
Then text me about two hours later asking if I as still free as the other meet didn't show calling her a time waster

Outside of fab I've done it very rarely. Generally in my single days among my circle of FWB it was first come first served, regardless of their standing.
I consider it very bad manners. But conversely making it a hard rule can be problematic since on a couple of occasions it has seen me end up scheduling 2 new partner meets on the same evening knowing the likelihood is one would flake... and then neither do... which is problematic. Especially when one of them end up being your girlfriend for the next 2 years |

heard all the excuses, the best one was her dog had died but she forgot i had her on snapchat and the next day she was posting videos of her dog chasing a ball in the kitchen lol.when i said something she admitted she had another offer, who canceled on her at the last minute. |

I had it the other way round once too
A guy mailed me on here asking if I wanted to join him and a female he was meeting that night
Sent me her profile name asked me to have a look se what I thought
So I replied no thanks and that I didn't meet couples
He replied back saying would I meet him alone then
When I pointed out he wasn't alone as he already had a meet planned he replied he will cancel her if I'll meet him as he would sooner meet me  |

I once thought of arranging a meet with someone. But then I cancelled thinking about meeting them because I spotted someone else I thought I might arrange a meet with. My problem was that I thought I had only one evening available to arrange a meet. In the interests of fairness and to avoid being a timewaster I cancelled thinking about meeting anyone. I thought that was the best thing to do. |

He was probably messaging her telling her he was meeting you and would she like to join you. I've seen this tactic before with guys thinking its a 'more attractive' offer to a woman to meet a couple so they play two off. |

Had this happen to me......meet arranged numbers and address given by the woman In question....then 1 hour before I gets a message sorry have to cancel..... Ok she gave me notice....
She's on my hotlist and what appears but a veri for the time she had arranged to meet me....
It's not good but hey life goes on |

"We've had people hedge their bets. Because we only meet socially first time some people will hang on to see if a play meet comes up before confirming, it's fair enough they owe us nothing and vice versa.
We had a social arranged for Weds and the guy cancelled at the last minute.He said that he had an opportunity to play that night and would rather do that.At least he bothered to tell us !

I had a meet planned this year, my FWB who I really wanted to see asked to meet the same morning, I told the first bloke I only had until a certain time and met him, he was cool as he only had limited time himself, then met with FWB straight after. I don't like to cancel at last minute and would not do it to meet a different man. XXX

He actually told me it was because another fem had asked him to go to a party with her.
It wasn't a nice feeling
He them had the cheek a few weeks later to ask me to meet him again ... i said no obviously lol. In fact he still asks me to meet him !!!
He complains that he doesn't get many meets ... not suprising if he treats them the same as he treated me !"
